Hello,

If there are microbial lifeforms on Mars, what would it be like? What would it metabolize? What would be the waste product? Would it be a threat to Terran organisms, such as humans?

Not sure if you want to open a discussion or a 'real' answe to your question...

The only correct answer, of course is: 'nobody knows'

Possibly, the next big rover, planned by NASA, might give an answer, it will be dedicated mainly to look for life, past or present, with some 'biolabs' etc. Until then, your guess is as good as mine...
