I accept the Iraq thing may turn out alright in the end and Sadam is a good guy to get rid of, but that doesn’t mean the original motives for going to Iraq can’t be questioned.

Who think it is true that bush just set there reading to the class for 8 minutes on 9/11 after he found America was attacked?
Does it matter? 8 minutes is a small fraction of time, and they were still trying to figure out what was really going on.
Who thinks it was true up until 9/11 bush was on vacation most of the time?
Does it matter? Given the change in technology, one can be "on vacation" and effectively in the workplace at the same time. Cell phones, computers, faxes, and a full staff allow one to be virtually anywhere.
Who thinks it is true that a large segment of the black population was denied the vote in Florida?
Dunno. Would it have made a difference if they hadn't, if it is true?
Was there a recount in Florida? I thought there was but Mores movie seemed to imply there wasn’t.
Yes, there was a recount. People disagreed on how the recount was handled though.
Was it true that all other networks were predicting gore the winner in Florida until fox announced otherwise?
Does it matter? I make predictions. Predictions don't mean squat. Just ask the NY Post about Kerry's VP...
Is Halliburton building a natural gas pipeline through Afghanistan?
If not Halliburton, someone is.

Ah, I get what you are saying about Michal more. You’re saying he makes a lot of irrelevant points. Still from the point of view of human interest I would of liked to see some of that footage before. I wonder for instance why you don’t see a lot of that footage on the news?

What footage?
Mothers crying over their dead children-soldiers? Where's the story? What's the point? "people die in war, here is the cost."
Either you agree that it is worth sacrificing lives for a goal, or you don't. From this stance, you spin the story to achieve the desired reaction from the viewer.
I write poetry, first thing I ask myself, what is the feeling I wish to illicit from the reader? How is the best way to achieve that? Moore is doing the same thing, but he is sloppy, and intellectualy lazy in his splicing together of disparate factoids to give shallow impressions. If you stop and think for a few moments, you realize that it isn't that deep. There is nothing real to hold onto other than emotional fluff.
He is taking all of these events- moments that occur over the span of years, and compresses them into a specified timeline that gives the illusion of an actual story with sub-text. But it isn't- they are all moments within their own independant context and not neccessarily directly related. He dosen't spend enough time (and I suspect becuase it just isn't there) to establish that there is a deep rooted connection between these events.
I have no love for Bush, but Moore is just cashing in on something that is fashionable to do right now. He is all image, no substance, and really, he is using a lot of peoples fear and good intentions to get rich. I really do despise people like that.

Well which frottage would you rather see, Michal Mores, or frottage on how Martha Stewert decorates her new jail cell?
BTW I still haven’t heard any response about the tenure thing. Why can governments award contracts to their friends without first putting the contract out to tenure? Or am I missing something. Maybe they do have to first put the contract up for tenure.

*I saw a quote of Michael Moore in print a week or two ago (forgot the source) wherein he openly admits "Fahrenheit 9/11" is his version of events.
The other evening on Bill O'Reilly, a woman sent an e-mail voicing her disgust with Moore and called him a "war profiteer."

Does one justify the other?
How can we take Moore serisouly on his accusations and claims if he conducts himself in the same manner as those he derides?

Maybe we could view it as entertainment. But then again from that perspective Spiderman was better. Pats of Michele Mores movie were a bit slow.

It's not billed as entertaiment. It's not sold as entertainment. It's not advertised as entertainment.
It's the "must see" movie that will open your eyes to lies and deception. That's the lie and deception right there.

Well, maybe you’re just to smart or already too well informed. But then if the movie is to educate those less informed, perhaps More should take the responsibility to not give such a biased view. Anyway, good points Clark.

Educate the less informed about what?
Where is the conspiracy? How is it that Moore is the one to educate the masses on the news that isn't being reported?
We have a hundred different news organizations, all independant (mostly). We have the interent rantings of a half billion people. We have newspapers, radio, and word of mouth. We insider accounts in interviews and books.
Yet somehow Moore would like us to believe that he has the story that isn't being told, for one reason or another, and he is telling this story via a major distribution channel via Hollywood that exsists solely to make money.
Moore dosen't care about educating anyone. He cares about taking that dollar bill out of your pocekt, and putting it into his own. He cares about self-aggrandizing himself to elevate his character celebrity status to open up new avenues for himself to create revenue, for himself.
I'm not any smarter or any more informed than anyone else. Probably less so. But I tend to question everything (for better or worse).
I was really disappointed by Bowling for Columbine because there was a glimmer of possibility with something good- instead, Moore just frittered is away. From what I've heard about 9/11, it's just more of the same. I can't bring myself to give my money to him. i really wish it was otherwise.
