Re: Chess game - Euler (W) vs White (B)

hmmm... maybe e5 wasn't such a good choice afterall.  Sorry Bill.  big_smile

Euler will probably take cc5... then, maybe not. Safe bet is just to move the knight.

Re: Chess game - Euler (W) vs White (B)

I believe that if it was Bill's turn, he would in fact be in a better position. Not to get you down, Bill, he could still mess up. Watch for impending pawn death. smile

Euler won't do c5. He actually shouldn't touch the knight for now, imho. edit: he moved after I started my post smile

I'm just an amateur, though. At the momment every move seems to count, and no one can advance without stuff getting in the way. smile

Bill will probably take h6. I saw the mistake of moving the knight after the fact (which is almost always the case with me)

Brash, but effective. Nothing like battering the door down and getting it over with Bill.  tongue  big_smile

Re: Chess game - Euler (W) vs White (B)

I should've predicted Bill's move, that's definitely what I would've done. Let's take the Queens out of this for now. :;): (Of course, you guys will have probably made another move by the time I post this, so I'll stop my commentary now.)

It is so that my king will be better positioned when (if) bill decides to trade queens.

Well, I would figure that Bill might go for it, but you still end up ahead with your night. What about trying for b4? that would have at least forced his hand with the Queen.

I was hoping for Qxc6. This is exciting though. big_smile

I think that the endgame is a little easier to win now than it would have been after 34.Qxc6

That knight is tempting (if he leave it), no? But I'm unsure...

Re: Chess game - Euler (W) vs White (B)

Reality check

white pawns - h3; g3; f2; c4; b3
white knight - e4
white king - f3

black pawns - h7; g6; e5; d5; c6; a5
black king - e7
