Re: Traffic level - How much traffic have we been getting?

Hey Adrian. smile

Know you're a busy guy and all, and I was wondering, how much traffic has NewMars been getting since Spirit touched down? The board has about 5 guests at any given time now (usually more duing conferences, or other events like that), and before it never had more than 3 (almost everyone who reads here registers and posts I have garnered).

Just curious.

Wow, I just noticed that, too. That's awesome! Wonder if the Mars Society can afford the bandwidth! I sure hope so!

Re: Traffic level - How much traffic have we been getting?

In the last few days there's been a definite spike in traffic. Daily hits have gone from around 12,000 to 30,000 and we are getting around 7000 pageviews daily as well. It's hard to tell what the bandwidth usage is since it varies quite widely, but we are moving about 200-300MB per day. Probably the busiest New Mars has ever been, I think.

There's no danger that we'll run out of bandwidth - our hosting plan comes with 700MB transfer allowance per day, and we aren't even at half of that yet.
