As this topic opens, we have an interesting collection of topics with "dwarf" in the title.
This is the first for White Dwarfs, which is the type our Sun is expected to become.
The study at the link below reports on discovery of what appears to be a secondary planet that grew from debris shed by the sun in it's death throes.

The researchers will be asking for more telescope time to try to gather more information about the suspected object.
The object itself is 427 light years away.
