While looking for topics about Deimos I found this interesting one in "Human missions"
Void and Tom Kalbus were in discussion for much of this topic. GW Johnson participated.
Tom Kalbus revealed he was born in 1967, so he grew up in the years immediately after the first Moon landing.
Since this topic is in "Human missions" it is not suitable for a post about unmanned missions.
Perhaps we will see human missions to Deimos in future years. This topic includes discussions of a variety of ideas for using the material in Deimos to create human habitats.
GW Johnson reminded the group that there would need to be other materials added to create an O'Neill habitat (for example). Never-the-less, the idea has some merit, and I expect it will keep coming up in future years.
