I just heard from him today (Saturday 2026/01/17).
Dayton Engineer has ** just ** assumed the presidency of the Power Museum in Pennsylvania where a massive collection of gas and steam and other engines is stored, maintained and exhibited to the public.
Coolspring is the name of the community where the museum may be found.

My recollection was we decided not to set up an ID for this gent. He is still working so probably doesn't have time for us now but perhaps later on he'll have a bit more time.
As a suggestion ... rather than clutter up the bookmarks topic with non-bookmark traffic, we might be able to use Housekeeping.
The protocol is to include a link to the post of interest. That way there is no confusion about the subject of the discussion.
