I am creating a new topic for the "NASA is proud of this collaborative effort between the agency and our Space Grant partners," https://www.spacedaily.com/reports/NASA … n_999.html

The Mars Society is pleased to announce that registration is now open for the 2026 University Rover Challenge (URC), the world’s premier robotics competition for college students designing and building the next generation of Mars rovers.
Teams from around the globe are invited to participate in this exciting challenge, which pushes innovation and teamwork in the field of space robotics and analog mission support. To complete registration, teams must fill out the URC 2026 Registration Form, submit the application fee, and sign up for the URC-Announce email list.
The deadline to register is October 29, 2025, and complete details—including all links and requirements—are available on the URC Team Info page.
For nearly two decades, URC, led by Kevin Sloan, has inspired students to advance planetary exploration technologies while preparing for careers in science, engineering, and aerospace. The Mars Society looks forward to welcoming a new class of rover teams for URC 2026.
