Re: Space planes -Sierra Nevada and ESA

Sierra Space is working on inflatable habitats for NASA, in addition to it's space flight efforts.

At 2:18 into this video, the specifications for a full sized habitat are given:

Name: LIFE 1400
Volume 1400 cubic meters
Length: 16.2 meters
Diameter 11 meters
7 meters Fairing

The habitat is shown with metal ports at both ends.

The video is about the tests of strength performed with a 1/3 scale model at NASA's Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Alabama.

I am interested in this habitat for a rotating space craft.  These could be arranged in a ring, side-by-sided instead of nose to nose.

Each could be a cabin for one or more passengers.

In coming days, I will attempt to compute the number of these habitats that could be arranged in a circle of the dimensions of a space vessel designed to provide sensible gravity for travelers on long trips.
