Gyroscope Model for Large Ship Inline Habitat Design

This topic is offered in the new Large Ship Category created by SpaceNut in the past year or so.

There are several designs on offer, for rotating habitats for humans traveling or living in space away from a planetary body.

The first is RobertDyck's unitary gyroscope habitat design, which he developed in some detail over a period of about two years.

The second is the parallel counter-rotating habitats on a single axis design.

kbd512 has contributed a number of posts about this design, and recently GW Johnson created an image of a design.

This topic is intended to concentrate on an alternative to both of the previous designs.

The model for this this topic is provided is based upon a demonstration of gyroscopes by a Spanish professor via YouTube ca 2009.
