President Biden says every child in America deserves a chance, but apparently not his own grandchildren if he doesn't approve of the circumstances under which they were born. Regardless of who my own sons or daughter decided to have children with, or any personal disagreements I have with them, I can't see myself ever refusing to act as if my own grandchildren are mine.
President Biden's son, Hunter Biden, impregnated some stripper, hopefully a former stripper now, named Lunden Roberts. I don't know why exactly and it doesn't really matter much at this point, to paraphrase another real gem of a person, named Hillary Clinton. Since women who were strippers have higher moral standards than the people Democrats vote for as President, she didn't murder her own daughter before she was born. Even so, I'm sure she could be a real Democrat, rather than this fraudulent or deranged nihilistic nonsense Democrats claim to support these days.
Hunter Biden refused to behave like a man or at least an adult or even just a reasonably decent human being by providing for his own daughter. The apple didn't fall very far from the tree. As always, the law had to become involved to force Democrats to behave like they're merely decent human beings. It's a recurring theme with them, sadly. Hunter Biden has already been ordered by a court to pay child support to his daughter's mother, which he is refusing to do and claiming to be broke, despite the millions he took from Burisma and the Chinese Communist Party. That is why he now finds himself back in court again before another judge. Before all this "you don't exist" nonsense started, and a couple of shyster lawyers became involved, this woman merely wanted to "be a Biden". Could you blame her? Hunter Biden got a job as an oil executive with zero prior experience. If I was a woman and knew no further details, that sounds like a pretty good person to be married to. Your child's father is successful and can provide for his children, one way or another.
Meanwhile, President Biden refuses to acknowledge that Hunter's daughter is one of his grandchildren. He spends time with his other grand children, but ignores her as if she doesn't exist. I have to wonder about how messed up someone has to be to refuse to acknowledge that their own daughter or granddaughter is a human being deserving of some measure of love and respect as, you know, your own flesh and blood. Be as pissed off at your son or her mother as you want to be, but leave the child out of your squabbles. Children have no concept of what your pissing contest is about and only want their mother and father to be with them.
Anyway, this is clearly not the first stripper Hunter Biden has slept with, because he likes to record himself doing it. My question is, "What was wrong with this one?" Hunter clearly like strippers, so get clean (not easy, but still very doable), make this woman your wife (next level of difficulty in acting like an adult), raise your own daughter in your own home where you can watch over her (from personal experience, the greatest level of difficulty, but still very much "worth it"), and go live a nice quiet life somewhere below the Fed's radar using the millions you made selling out our country to our enemies. Your child is beautiful, so is her mother, they're still young, you'll be around to see her grow up if you steer clear of the poison, and her face lights up just being near you. You're the only person who can make it work or screw it up from here. Take your prizes and go home. Right, wrong, or indifferent, you won. She wins by staying married. Your daughter wins if both you and her mother can figure out how to get past your personal problems.
There's an entire album of photos of your own son carrying your own granddaughter around, Mr. President. She's a real person. Act like it.

A fascinating interview with economist Michael Pettis.
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=XO8o0TO-rfg
The Chinese economic growth model has reached the end of the road. The enormous debt levels that are building are a symptom of over investment and insufficient consumer demand. For decades, China was the most under-invested country in the world with the cheapest labour anywhere. Under these conditions, a high savings rate and low domestic demand produced explisive economic growth. But Chinese infrastructure is already quite good. Investing more money in infrastructure is now suffering diminishing returns. Progressively larger investments are needed for each $ of additional GDP. Although Pettis does not say as much, China's demographics make a consumer boom extremely difficult. The country's age structure and shrinking population make it very difficult to transition away from high savings rate. The country is therefore trapped in an economic growth model that requires high savings and high capital spending, whilst return on investment crashes.
Another takeaway from this interview is that most people do not understanding why the world uses the US dollar as reserve currency. The world is very unlikely to drop the US dollar as global reserve currency. The idea that the US gets an enormous privillage from having its currency function as the currency of global trade is bogus. In fact, global demand for the US dollar is a tax on the US economy. It damages the competitiveness of US domestic manufacturers by forcing up the value of the dollar and pushing up asset prices. Exactly the same thing has happened to the UK pound, which is also a reserve currency. Reserve currency status is only possible because the US economy is more productive than its competitors. If the Chinese succeeded in supplanting the dollar with the yuan, it would trash the Chinese economy, because its manufacturing dominant economy could no longer compete with US manufacturers. In fact, the Chinese are only able to sustain their trade surplus by making the yuan artificially cheap against the dollar. The country that pays for the dollar reserves currency status is the US, not China or Russia. If the US were to take steps to end dollar reserve currency status, export dominated economies like Russia and China would suffer badly. Those countries should really be careful what they wish for.

Calliban,
My biggest takeaway from that talk on China was what most industrialized nations' governments do to their people in the name of achieving economic or political goals, which is clearly not in their best interests. Rather than trying to manufacture consent or acceptance using fear and propaganda, or force issues through Congress based upon popularity with campaign donors, perhaps our legislative body needs to find out what average people actually need, and then consider what people actually want if there are realistic options available. I've seen far too many "pet projects", with perhaps worthwhile goals if they were very narrowly defined / legislated separately to avoid conflicts with other issues / controlled with disbursement of funds contingent upon performance, but so contorted by the time they make it through as to make a mockery of the issues they're supposed to resolve.
Most of the time the spending or law-fare minutia is counter-productive. The people pushing the legislation are blind to the results, because the goal shifts from spending money to do something useful to spending money on the promise of one day doing something useful. It's doing something you know or should know won't work, hoping for a different result. No serious person actually believes that the answer to every problem is spending more money or increasing the influence of our government, because there's no evidence that such a course of action has ever produced desirable results. The two examples that come immediately to mind are the "forever wars" and entitlement programs that only work when 10 people pay in for every 1 person receiving benefits.
1. The continuous "brush fire wars" were intended to prevent a single large and very costly war with catastrophic effects on the global economy and populace. The "forever war" has brought about the same catastrophic end, it merely took more time to get there, and we will still have major wars fought amongst major regional rivals, almost any of which are likely to draw the US into the conflict.
2. The entitlement programs were intended to end poverty in the richest nation on the planet. Instead, they perpetuate poverty.
There are no serious proposals to change those two systemic and enduring problems. We spend more on entitlements and the military machine every year. Apart from spending for its own sake, at levels the American tax base cannot hope to sustain, regardless of who we rob, pretty much nobody thinks we're making any progress towards some generally agreed upon end goal or state of affairs. It's maintaining status quo for a malfunctioning system, and not much of anything else. If ordinary people on opposite ends of the political spectrum believe that much, then they can work backwards to solutions which address the root of the problems.
If you took subtracted the results and squandered money associated with those two programs, there would be no catastrophic consequences for most people, in most industrialized nations. None of our existing problems would magically "go away", but the damage caused by faulty policy would be drastically reduced. Beyond that, there would at least be a space for potentially better policy to exist in. As of right now, bad policy has sucked all the oxygen out of the room.
Once it's obvious to everyone that "the system" is well and truly broken, instead of better policies and better policy makers, worse policies will spring up to snuff out whatever chance of success that better policy might have. There's no introspection or reversal of course within the dominant political parties, either (as in, "this wasn't the result we were after, so let's try something else"). They always claim what's happening is not what they want, but they're in charge of deciding what we're doing, so it's either incompetence or malicious action. If there's something stupid to do, then rest assured they're ready and waiting to "do it dumberer" than the last batch of morons. Spending a billion didn't make magic happen, well let's spend ten billion or one hundred billion to see if that changes the result.
That's why I want an escape option available for my children- the practical ability to move to Mars with like-minded people who are done dealing with their nutty professors. Maybe, and only maybe, they can avoid the worst aspects of the insanity of what we have now. Central planning has run its course, though - it's a death sentence for a functional society, regardless of how much of everything it started with. If the Russians, Europeans, and Chinese can't make it work, then it's because it doesn't work whenever actual humans are involved, not because all the people who believe in the underlying premise were incompetent or malicious.

Russia stages military-style propaganda parade on Norway's Svalbard archipelago
https://thebarentsobserver.com/en/secur … rchipelago
With the diplomatic car of Russian general consul Andrei Chemerilo in front, the 9th May parade moved through the small Arctic town that is inhabited mainly by Russian and Ukrainian citizens. In the air was a Mi8 helicopter and behind Chemerilo’s black Toyota Landcruiser followed a line of more than 50 vehicles, including trucks, tractors and snow mobiles. At least ten of the snow mobiles were driven by men in green suits, resembling military uniforms.
It looked like Russia, where the 9th of May is celebrated as a main national day and commemoration of the victory in second world war. But this is Norway, several thousand kilometres away from the Russian mainland.
The Russian celebrations in Barentsburg included also a patriotic propaganda concert with participants dressed in military uniforms and carrying the St.George ribbon, the symbol of Russian war aggression extensively used in various patriotic events.

On the Trump Lawsuits and Internet Social Media posts
I knew Trump had a blog but I also found the source of a lot of Donald Trump social media, it gets copied or screen grabbed from the original blog or the 'Truth Social' account.
E. Jean Carroll won her 'Rape' trail against Trump but they did not call it rape, she won in civil case criminal trial, so its more about money and paying up. Trump denied that he had ever met Carroll, accused her of trying to sell books, implied she had a political agenda, compared the accusation to one against Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh. She had accused him of sexually assaulting her in 1995 or 1996. The jury awarded Carroll $5 million in compensatory and punitive damages. Trump said he would appeal the verdict before it was announced, asserting that he was being silenced as a political candidate.

The only reliable aspect of the political left these days is the endless parade of liars who will say and do absolutely anything to further their political ideology or line their pockets.
The defining aspect of these rape allegations is that they all have zero evidence backing them, apart from the theatrical performances of the claimants. The entire point is character assassination and theft from their political enemies. If President Trump was sequestered on the moon from the time he was a baby and never had contact with another human until deciding to run for President as a Republican after voting Democrat his entire life, rest assured there would be a legion of radical leftists lining up to claim he raped them, was racist towards them, or sent a mean tweet their way.
All the left's boorish lies about racism and fascism had no effect because everyone (right, left, or otherwise) knows that racism and fascism lives and dies on the left, until the political right becomes fed up with their racist and fascist behavior, and then they put an end to it. That's how slavery ended, as a matter of fact. My fellow Republicans were sick of the Democrats' abhorrent and disgusting excuses for why they were allowed to literally buy and sell other human beings, so we took their slaves away from them and made them free men and women. Their incessant attacks on people on the basis of race never ended, though. They've done nothing but throw violent tantrums over our acknowledgement that people have a fundamental right to exist and to benefit from the fruits of their own labor ever since.
The left has no valid arguments to justify their atrocious behavior, so they make stuff up that agrees with their own internal monologue about people they hate- primarily the people who took their slaves away from them. They think if they jump up and down and stamp their feet hard enough, someone will lap up their putrid brain vomit. This is only true of their fellow evil clowns and insane asylum patients. We saw this clear as day with their Russian collusion hoax. Six years later, the only people under indictment by the Justice Department for conspiring with the Russians to do anything at all were entirely associated with Hillary Clinton's 2016 Presidential election campaign. This is hardly news to Republicans, since we knew her psychopathic tendencies convinced Mrs. Clinton to sell our Uranium to Russians threatening to nuke us.

The good things I see in President Trump are the same traits that made President Kennedy such a beacon of hope and confidence in the future of the American Enterprise. In much the same way that I can't tolerate listening to an entire Kennedy speech, I've never sat through an entire President Trump speech, either. I'm perfectly willing to forgive what they say because of what they do. Fortunately for America, both Presidents Kennedy and Trump are basically good policy makers who actually care about how public policy affects the lives of their fellow Americans. They are not swayed by the empty rhetoric and vapid agenda of our unintelligentsia. They both said outrageous things in their own time, but what they actually did was enormously beneficial to America and her people. Unfortunately for both of them, a lot of people are very enamored with their ideas, especially after those ideas are proven failures.

A series of minor tremors recorded on the Danish Baltic island of Bornholm Saturday has puzzled scientists, who now say they were caused by "Acoustic pressure waves from an unknown source."
On Monday, the Geological Survey of Denmark and Greenland, an official body that monitors the underground, said the tremors were "Not caused by earthquakes, but by pressure waves from an event in the atmosphere." However, they came from "An unknown source."
"The seismologists can report that it is unlikely that the tremors originate from a controlled explosion in Poland, which was carried out shortly before the first reports of tremors on Bornholm," the body known as GEUS said in a statement.

Who are the anti-Putin groups behind the dramatic raid into Russia?
https://www.nbcnews.com/news/world/belg … -rcna86168
Two militant groups with neo-Nazi ties have emerged from relative obscurity to claim responsibility for the Belgorod attack, taunt the Kremlin and promise more to come.
The Russian Volunteer Corps, or RVC, says it’s made up of Russians fighting on Ukraine’s side and against Putin's government. The group made headlines in March when it claimed to be behind a smaller raid in the Bryansk region.
Its commander, Denis Kapustin, who also goes by the last name of Nikitin, is a white nationalist and ex-soccer hooligan who shares neo-Nazi views.
Kapustin is listed on Russia’s federal wanted list and its register of extremists and terrorists.
The U.S.-based Anti-Defamation League has described Kapustin as “a Russian neo-Nazi who lived in Germany for many years.” He goes by the call sign “White Rex” and reportedly founded a clothing brand of the same name that is popular among Russian neo-Nazis.
The RVC’s channel on the Telegram messaging app has more than 110,000 followers and has shared photos of what it says are the group’s fighters on the war's front lines.
Telegram social media operational center is based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, company was initially supported by its CEO's personal funds after the sale of his stake in VK. in an attempt to monetize Telegram without advertising, the company began the development of a blockchain platform dubbed either "The Open Network" or "Telegram Open Network" (TON) and its native cryptocurrency "Gram". Telegram has been used for illegal activities such as spreading hate messages, illegal pornography, contact between criminals and trading of illegal goods and services such as drugs and stolen personal data. In 2018, it launched a private placement and collected $1.7 billion from investors such as Kleiner Perkins, Sequoia Capital and Benchmark San Francisco, the social media company Telegram also sold additional bonds worth $150 million to the Abu Dhabi Mubadala Investment Company and Abu Dhabi Catalyst Partners.

Joe Rogan Defends Taking Ivermectin for COVID-19 in Scathing Rant
https://www.newsweek.com/joe-rogan-defe … nt-1798026
Joe Rogan hit back at the mainstream media outlets for "mocking" him about taking ivermectin after testing positive for COVID-19.
The comedian spoke at length on his podcast The Joe Rogan Experience, responding to the likes of CNN and MSNBC which he claims tried to "shame him" for taking alternative medications rather than getting vaccinated against COVID.
Rogan contracted COVID on September 1, 2021, and posted a video listing all of the medications he was talking, which included the drug ivermectin. This came days after the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) had urged people to stop using the medication to treat or prevent COVID.
Ivermectin is an World Health Organization-approved drug usually taken to treat parasitic infestations, though it is also used as a "dewormer" in livestock. This led to the FDA tweeting in August 2021, "You are not a horse. You are not a cow. Seriously, y'all. Stop it."

Everything we know about suspect who crashed U-Haul truck near White House
https://www.independent.co.uk/news/worl … 44657.html
19-year-old Sai Varshith Kandula of Missouri faces a range of charges connected to ‘intentional’ crash
A 19-year-old man has been charged with threatening to kill, kidnap or inflict harm on the president, vice president or their family members after allegedly ramming a truck into bollards outside a park near the White House.
However media also reported 'We saw a Nazi flag, duct tape and a notebook with pages full of writing retrieved from the truck.'
Following the crash and the release of the suspect’s name, a wave of accounts on Elon Musk’s Twitter sought to portray the incident as a “false flag” or a “hoax”, echoing similar baseless statements in the aftermath of the mass shooting at a Texas mall earlier this month after the gunman was revealed as an alleged neo-Nazi with SS and swastika tattoos.
Right-wing pundits including Donald Trump Jr and other personalities and accounts on the social media network continue to falsely suggest that news organisations are labelling the crash suspect as a “white supremacist” in an attempt to undermine both the attack and threats of white supremacist violence.
