but let's look at an elected Democrat system that operates with corruption hiding in plain sight
Before it had Mayors Chicago had 'Town Presidents' he was a 'Whig' then came 'Know Nothing' and 'Citizens Party' now we see the First mayor in 40 years to be chucked out after a single term?

Many Canadians are done with monarchy—but GG says they should give Charles a chance
https://www.rcinet.ca/eye-on-the-arctic … -a-chance/
Canadian monarchists have sent a strongly worded letter to Gov. Gen. Mary Simon chastising her for suggesting recently that there may need to be "conversations" about a future without the royals — and taking note of King Charles's unpopularity.
In an interview with the Globe and Mail published last week, Simon said Canadians readily embraced Charles's mother, the late Queen Elizabeth. But she said the jury is still out on whether the new King can ever match her popularity, given his current polling numbers.
https://www.theglobeandmail.com/politic … -governor/
https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/king-cha … -1.6816980
In a May 10 letter, Robert Finch, the dominion chairman of the Monarchist League of Canada, said it was "unbelievable" that Simon, the King's representative in Canada, would question the future of the institution and the likability of the sovereign on the eve of his coronation.
"Do you have any idea how much your remarks on the Canadian Crown and our King have deeply hurt many in the land to which you are supposed to bring unity and common purpose, rather than division and discord?" Finch said.
"How would you feel if your installation as Governor General had been clouded by someone on the government payroll whose comments would garner the attention that yours did?"
Finch also asked Simon to consider how Charles, "as a human being," might feel about seeing less-than-positive remarks in the press from someone hand-picked to be his eyes and ears on the ground in Canada.

The sociologist Stephen A. Kent views the Church of Scientology as "a multifaceted transnational corporation, only one element of which is religious". The historian of religion Hugh Urban described Scientology as a "huge, complex, and multifaceted movement".
A Scientologist Theocracy?
Arguments as to whether Scientology should be regarded as a cult, a business, or a religion have gone on for many years. Many Scientologists consider it to be their religion. Its founder, L. Ron Hubbard, presented it as such, but the early history of the Scientology organization, and Hubbard's policy directives, letters, and instructions to subordinates, indicate that his motivation for doing so was as a legally pragmatic move.
South Park - Scientologists
Matt Stone and Trey Parker
Hayes a Scientologist who voices Chef initially defended South Park's style of controversial humor, noting that he was not pleased with the show's treatment of Scientology, but saying that he "understands what Matt and Trey are doing." He was a Singer, musician, composer songwriter and actor.
https://web.archive.org/web/20061025185 … de/44132/2
However in 2006, a statement was issued in Hayes's name, indicating that he was asking to be released from his contract with Comedy Central, calling recent episodes that satirized religious beliefs intolerant. "There is a place in this world for satire, but there is a time when satire ends and intolerance and bigotry towards religious beliefs of others begins", he was quoted in the press statement.
In a 2016 oral history of South Park in The Hollywood Reporter, Hayes's son Isaac Hayes III said the decision to leave the show was made by his father's entourage, all of whom were ardent Scientologists, and that it was made after Hayes suffered a stroke, leaving him vulnerable to outside influence and unable to make such decisions on his own
The first South Park episode that premiered after Hayes's death, "The China Probrem", was dedicated to him.

After hearing about the India guy who drained a reservoir emptied a dam to get a missing phone once again I think not India's system, some of this 'culture' will not work on Mars. Billions of people live with 'Caste' systems, the idea of caste it is almost normal on our planet Earth. It can be a difficult concept for some people to accept, being a subject or a lower caste, for example in the USA a citizen has rights protected by the Constitution of the United States but Billions of people on this Earth live under 'Caste' and it is perfectly normal for them even if it is 'cruel' or seems unfair or culturally alien. However if religion goes to Mars and 'culture' of Earth is exported, it is possible not all culture would be good and 'Utopian' the type of cruel unfair Caste system in India or Class in Hindu society and this religion mindset could spread among the people of Mars. Buddhism does have caste but is a religion that condemned the caste system however there are ways around it where they might think 'bad karma' punishes you for something a family member did generations ago or sins in a past life, although Buddhism does not support caste within Buddhist cultures there are class and sub-castes, in Japanese culture there were a family line of people looked down on such as executioners, grave diggers, people who touched meat, guys who built stone funeral monument or the undertakers, slaughterhouse workers, butchers this could also be a product of 'Shinto' although different to the India Hindu caste system.
India seems to operate the most extreme version of caste today. Not too unlike the caste of Japan in South Korea there is also "untouchable" outcaste of Korea and the origin of this mindset dates back to an invasion event from 'Khitan' which happened 1,000 years ago, the Japanese Occupation of Korea 1910 – 1945 and its cultural influence on South Korea could have helped reintroduce any fading caste culture, the North Koreans seem to also operate caste but mixed with more brutal philosophy mixed with Confucianism and Stalinism. Ancient Chinese also had caste but the new flavor of China Communism seems to have destroyed many old cultural traditions to turn every modern person into a good Chinese socialist citizen, the irony of Communism finally doing something useful one bad thing eliminates another bad thing. The islamic society have many social classes, the Yezidi faced genocide under ISIS and within the culture of Yazidis or religion of Yazidism itself there are also caste in Africa within groups of tribes that mix or the Nupe of Nigeria there is also a Osu caste system, some entire Western Africa, Sub Sahara Africa, Central Africa and Horn of Africa economies were based on a caste system, some in the USA would argue that discrimination against African American culture or discrimination in the Southern United States in the 1930s against Blacks was similar to Indian caste. Judaism also had its own class or caste depending on what heritage or region a Jewish came from, they still classify by way of Sephardic, Ashkenazic, Mizrahi and Ethiopian Jews, Cochin Jews and the Bene Israel of India cluster, or what constitutes different levels of ‘Jewishness’ among modern 'Tribes'. Not all of this is bad practice some are examined for medical problems inherited from people mixing over generations and passing on family inherited illness, the medical genetics of Jews are studied in Israel for population-specific diseases so it is not just a class thing. historically Jews were divided into three groups: the priests, the Levites, and the Israelites and history of war and invasion a scattering of people a religious story of Moses who led the Jews out of slavery in Egypt and later more war in Arabia descending from ancient Hebrew and Israelites of the Levant" outside of Israel the Jewish of India live under their own Caste system. Voyageurs may have been part of a caste they are a Flemish group who are related to the Dutch Travellers, in Scotland the Gypsy or Traveler made money as tinsmiths, hawkers, horse dealers, some performed songs like or worked as Minstrel Vaudeville style Carine performers or worked as Scots pearl-fishermen. There has been a Caste system in Nepal and Tibet and a Caste system among South Asian Desi Muslims in Pakistan.
The Roma Carnie Gypsy people are said to have first come from India or Roma Gypsy might also be considered a caste or class or separate culture with its own lifestyle, in the United States there are 1,000,000 estimated with Romani ancestry. In the early 1950s, post WW-2 people were more sympathetic to the culture so Roma leaders petitioned the United Nations for the creation of their own state, Romanystan Kingdom, Romastani State or Romanestan Nation but their petition was rejected by the UN. The Gypsy Roma culture it is thought to have been a lower caste of India spreading through Turkey, Egypt into North Africa and Spain and Poland and Hungary and Ukraine and Romania. Not all Carnival Tinsmith and Performer cultures in Europe had 'Roma' among there people, they were simply performers and workers Carny, also spelled carnie, is an informal term used in North America for a traveling carnival employee, "showie" was used to describe the culture in Australia, while "showman" is used in the United Kingdom, in parts of Asia being a performer would be part of a Lower Caste. The carny vocabulary is often outside of the normal society, they ave their own way of gypsy speak traditionally part of carnival cant, a secret language, its own separate slang and class an ever-changing form of communication, in large part designed to be impossible to understand by an outsider. Carnie style talk may have eventually migrated into gangster language culture, into wrestling, music like hip hop, and other parts of modern culture, the British form of fairground cant is called "polari" the style of speaking or dialect spread to some British actors, merchant navy sailors, the culture of drug dealer prostitute criminals, sex workers and the gay subculture, although this 'undesirable' nature might have more to do with criminality rather than 'Caste'. The Carnival working man might have been seen as a person who brought fun and show but also 'Vices' like gambling an undesired lifestyle by religious puritan. Genetic Sequencing has looked at the roots of many Roma and it traces many modern Gypsies Back to Ancient India, many Gypsy Roma retained so much of Indian culture, except their religion, their language even originates from India. Within USA society there seems to have been discrimination and violence among population of Whites for example lynchings the murders of Italian Americans and Italian lynched was a common news report, were these people a lower class, was it mob vigilante 'justice' by an angry people who accused the other group of being criminal or were they victims of discrimination or class and 'Caste' or maybe a sign of poverty, the people angry looking for someone to blame and society breaking down. Teddy Roosevelt, not yet president, famously said the lynching of an Italian was indeed "a rather good thing" while John Parker helped organize the lynch mob, was later elected as governor of Louisiana described Italians as "just a little worse than the Negro, being if anything filthier in their habits, lawless, and treacherous". Not every gangster or carine involved in a crime was lynched because of class or caste but Italians were disliked and blamed for a period, in the USA lynchings were the most common violent expression of anti-Italian feeling, America has evolved from these times. The India Caste old culture today moves into America, the India caste culture is spreading to the USA and Canada on such a level they are now passing Laws against it, this year in 2023, Seattle became the first city in the United States to ban discrimination based on 'Caste'.
The India system seems to be the more complex 'Caste' but Philippines, Sri Lanka, Indonesia also have a complex caste system, the eras of European feudalism with its War States periods and rigid aristocracy could also be considered as an old class and caste system. Spain and Latin America had a caste system which might have been a mix of class, race, religion and culture involving 'Basque' the Cagot people and 'Casta' mixes. The India 'caste' spread again especially the islamic Mughal Empire and the class system spread in the British Ra era, a spread of the hereditary system of Britain and the elites of Europe, going back to a time before the American Revolution or War of Independence, the age of Nations, the rights to vote, race issues women rights and socialism and 'Democratic' representatives, new States, ending of serfdom & Collapsing Empires, the poorer lower paid worker or servant, the 'bourgeoisie' the Dukes and Baroness and Lords and unique social structure of the United Kingdom, India already with a caste system was influenced by other Empires with their own caste and class.

A vid with silly humor
What If Countries Colonized Mars? | Mr.About
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w07CPqAPdkk
In our edutainment animated video we'll humorously dive into the concept of countries establishing colonies on Mars. Imagine a future where countries set foot on the red planet, bringing their politics, cultures, and rivalries along.
Here is an interesting Republic, the country, island and city-state of Singapore, it is a small country compared with other countries and nations, it is mix of cultures and peoples. Like Switzerland it is an example of a multicultural place that works, its economy moves and society functions. They also have trade and wealth and a shared heritage. It is a mix of Chinese, Malay and Desi Indian people, its belief systems are Buddhism, No religion or Agnostic or Atheist, Christianity, Islam, Taoism and a minority of Hinduism. Singapore sometimes ranks low on Democratic freedoms which is why I suspect a number of people might object to its style of rule. Singapore is at a cross road of trade it is a member of the United Nations (UN), World Trade Organization (WTO), East Asia Summit (EAS), Non-Aligned Movement (NAM), and the Commonwealth of Nations. It was a colony, it might have made contact with an ancient Greco-Roman astronomer Ptolem, the Tamil Empire, the Mongol Empire, British and Chinese had links there, 16th and 19th centuries, the Malay Archipelago was gradually taken over by the European Dutch and Portuguese colonial powers, it became part of the British Empire. In the early days of settlement, Singapore Island was the recipient of Indian convicts, who were tasked with clearing the jungles for settlement and early public works. The idea of penal colony or exile colony was a past idea for settlement used to exile prisoners and separate them from the general population, a similar colony Iwahig Prison and Penal Farm in Puerto Princesa, Palawan, Philippines is one of seven operating units of the Bureau of Corrections, the world no longer operates prison colonies, however newmars had discussion here like 'Send inmates to mars - like in Australia'. Singapore geographically is a port to the sea it became a trade route between China and British India, which had become vitally important for Tea trade, it was invaded by Japan in WW2, as in the United Kingdom and in a number of Commonwealth countries, Members of Parliament (MPs) may be appointed as Ministers of State.
Commentary: For Singapore’s sake, we need a contest in the presidential election

Mars_B4_Moon,
Much of this concern about "old bad ideas" replacing "newer better ideas" seems to discount that we don't see a lot of people fleeing America to return to India and the caste system. Have you seen the vast caravans of Americans scaling the Great Wall to reach China and become good communists? How about Americans fleeing to Canada and Mexico? I'm not talking about our leftist communist / marxist wannabes who have been educated into stupidity by their fellow government religious zealots, but actual Americans who believe in basic human freedom and dignity. BTW, the harder these leftists try to turn America into the next communist hell hole, the harder the push-back they receive.
Corporations that support this neo-marxist / woke-ist agenda nonsense are now painfully aware that the only possible outcome is that they lose massive sums of money in short order, because people who are not mentally handicapped will take their business to others who don't follow the herd of leftist lemmings right off the edge of the ideological cliff they've all decided to bunch up on.
Americans are all "dumb", but we stuck our finger right in the eye of these communist wannabes by electing President Trump. Now that President Biden is in office and we get to see the results of putting our latest village idiot in charge, everyone with a pair of functional brain cells left is heading for the exit. Back when I was growing up, Americans were debating which "plan for the future" looked like the better option, rather than who was better than whoever else, not who checks off the most identity politics boxes, never mind the pure idiocy of believing that a man could ever be a woman or vice versa.
These days, the moronism religion has hijacked the establishment left, which is horrific for civilized society and humanity's future, because that is where all the fundamentally new and potentially better ideas come from. All the social norms baked into society were mostly there for good reasons (basic morality and valuing human life immediately comes to mind), but some never were, such as the caste system (the very old and very tedious notion that someone is better or worse than someone else by virtue of birth, skin color, sex, religion, and various other idiotic and provably wrong ideas wherein the preponderance of evidence flies in the face of the entire idea or concept), and our political left challenged and overturned those "old bad ideas" (with varying degrees of success). Today, they've inexplicably stopped doing that and reverted back to the old tired ideas (it's like the left and right traded places, or they never actually gave up on bad ideas, which is more probable), and are now pursuing nihilism in various forms because they cannot reconcile the tenants of the woke religion with observable reality. We need our "big ideas" people to get back to the business of "big ideas", and put away their childish "little ideas" that hampered human development for so long.

China Lays Out Plan to Accelerate Lunar Ambitions
https://spaceref.com/science-and-explor … ambitions/
The ILRS is a long-term lunar exploration program with three phases:
Reconnaissance (2021-2025)
Construction (2026-2035)
Utilization (2036 and beyond)Initially, Chinese media (and others) speculated that the project might attract certain Western countries as participants, which represented a major power shift in the global space exploration landscape. In the months that followed, however, Russia unilaterally invaded Ukraine, which effectively put an end to the prospects of any significant Western involvement. In the months after the invasion, there was speculation in some circles that China might be better off abandoning Russia altogether for this project, but in the roughly 18 months since the invasion, this has not materialized, and indeed China has seemingly reiterated its support for Russian partnership.
In short, China has developed an impressive lunar exploration program to now, and the past couple of years have seen a marked increase in the scale of these ambitions

For Mar_B4_Moon re topic ....
As an observation, after considering your post #95...
It seems to me that the first landing team will likely be governed by a military hierarchy established by the Nation or group of Nations that sends the first expedition. At this point, the most likely sponsor Nations are China and the US.
Because you have shown an interest in and knowledge of a large part of human history, please consider how governance might evolve from that beginning.
For example, if there are two small permanent bases set up by major countries at different locations, there would be a need for a minimal level of coordination of movements of equipment.
Are there examples from human history of similar situations? I'm thinking of the exploration and settling of the US, but there are many other examples that might be considered from that time.
The British example shows failure in the US, but success in many other Nations.
RobertDyck has written on several occasions about the interesting commercial example of an early fishing based over-wintering community.
That community may have never followed the military track. In fact, it may have successfully resisted the military track.

I was going to post in "Large Scale Colonization Ship", but I'll post it here.
Looks like the local guy who offered to help with the Blender model is not going to help after all. He's socialist, I'm Libertarian. I pointed out socialism doesn't work, look at what happened with Stalin in the Soviet Union. He argued that was a dictatorship, not socialism. So I said socialism always becomes a dictatorship. He didn't agree and didn't like that. To be clear, whenever you allow government control over the tiny things of your life, bureaucracy will demand ever more control and government degenerates into dictatorship. The only way to prevent that is to strictly limit authority of government. The constitution is supposed to do that, but if courts ignore the constitution then it's useless.
Here in Canada we have a number of problems. Several political pundits in the US have claimed Canada doesn't have freedom of speech, and that can't happen in the US because the US has the First Amendment. But Canada does. In 1982 Canada passed a major amendment to its Constitution; this embedded the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms into the Constitution. Before that was a federal law that guaranteed rights, but as just a law the current government could just ignore it. Embedding in the Constitution means government is bound by it. But unfortunately government still violates it regularly.
This is text directly from the Canadian Charter:
2. Everyone has the following fundamental freedoms:
(a) freedom of conscience and religion;
(b) freedom of thought, belief, opinion and expression, including freedom of the press and other media of communication;
(c) freedom of peaceful assembly; and
(d) freedom of association.
Yes, clause 2(b) guarantees freedom of expression including freedom of speech. But the current government has ordered mainstream media and social media to censor as false information anything that disagrees with policies or political positions of the current government. That's how a dictatorship is created.
If you in the United States think that can't happen to you, think again. Congress passed a law to limit political donations so the rich can't simply buy Congress. That bill was bipartisan, one of the sponsors was Senator John McCain. But the Supreme Court passed the "Citizens United" decision. This overturned that law. There were some restrictions in the court decision, but it's trivially easy to falsify documents to get around those restrictions. So the law is now meaningless.
Canada has accepted a massive number of immigrants during the current administration. Population increased from 38 million to 40 million in the last 8 years. One million of them in the last year. Canada is accepting a lot of refugees from Ukraine. There are a lot of immigrants from eastern Europe. There are also a lot of immigrants from Hong Kong, India, Pakistan, and Africa. But the Eastern European immigrants point out what Canada is currently doing is exactly how it started in eastern Europe when the communists took over. This is bad.
Next Canadian federal election is scheduled for 2 years, October 2025. Canada has a parliamentary system and currently no single party has 50% of the members of the House. If the NDP party stops supporting the Liberals and votes Non-Confidence along with the other parties, that will force an immediate election. But it looks like next election will be in 2 years. One website aggregates polls from all published polls from professional polling organizations. As of today it looks like Conservatives will not only win the next election, but get a majority. That means more than 50% of the seats in the House.
"Governments must be changed every so often just like diapers, and for the same reason."

I said I'm Libertarian. That's generally, I'm moderate and a realist. All political parties have good ideas, and all have bad ideas. It's supposed to be the job of Parliament (or Congress) to adopt the good ideas from all parties, and rejects bad ideas, again from all parties.
