One day we might have Planetary Exodus...people quitting Mars for Titan or leaving Titan to go back to the Moon or the Cloud tops of Venus?
California Exodus, term became popular during the COVID-19 pandemic, some say Covid or Corona Lockdowns were the final tipping point.

California may never really be California again and it is not the only Demographic Exodus, at one time it was a Goldrush State endless people moving into the State, at one time million were trying to get out of Europe, at one time it had demand for Labor on the railways, people used to go to Argentina for work, people would immigrate leave Italy for richer parts of Switzerland or the USA. People would arrive from Canada, from Asia, flee War and poverty, then for a while people quit the Rust Belt is a region of the United States that experienced industrial decline starting around during the 70s and recession of the 80s, Detroit’s Motor City seen a decline as manufacturing went to Japan and Germany, now we see a rise in poverty, drugs and crime once again and Governor Apologizes For Blaming Gangs For Mass Organized Looting Of Trains In LA ...there is no War in California, its politics that costs California State? That new Exodus seems to be politically inflicted, Texas is one state where people flee, some like Musk blame too much government regulation and endless taxes, all of it causing rental truck price spike in California, new opportunities appear in Arizona, Florida and other States. People are still arriving in California from very very poor countries, Cross-border immigration accounts for much of the population growth in developed countries however what has changed in California is people are giving up on the State and more people are moving out then moving in. Even with the whole legal and illegal human trafficker business the Exodus programs some of them linked to Global religions or Charity CEO focused on receiving illegal immigrants or refugees as they arrive in the United States, from South America, Europe, Africa, the Middle East helping them find apartments, they still are bleeding out tax paying people from the State.

Payments of $5 million to every eligible Black adult, the elimination of personal debt and tax burdens, guaranteed annual incomes of at least $97,000 for 250 years and homes in San Francisco for just $1 a family. These were some of the more than 100 recommendations made by a city-appointed reparations committee tasked with the thorny question of how to atone for centuries of slavery and systemic racism.
'L.A. riders bail on Metro trains amid 'horror' of deadly drug overdoses, crime'
https://www.yahoo.com/news/l-riders-bai … 07450.html
Matthew Morales boarded the Metro Red Line at MacArthur Park as classical music blared over the station loudspeakers.
It was rush hour on a Tuesday afternoon, and Morales made his way to a back corner seat and unfolded a tiny piece of foil with several blue shards of fentanyl. As the train started west, he heated the aluminum with a lighter and sucked in the smoke through a pipe fashioned from a ballpoint pen.
Doors opened and closed. A few passengers filed in and out. A grain of the opioid fell to the floor. He concentrated on trying to pick it up, then lost track, as his body went limp. His shoulders slumped and he slowly keeled forward.
By the time the train arrived at the Wilshire/Western station, Morales, 29, was doubled over and near motionless, his hand on the floor. The train operator walked out of the cabin, barely glancing at him as she passed — as if she encountered such scenes all the time.
Drug use is rampant in the Metro system. Since January, 22 people have died on Metro buses and trains, mostly from suspected overdoses — more people than all of 2022. Serious crimes — such as robbery, rape and aggravated assault — soared 24% last year compared with the previous.
“Horror.” That's how one train operator recently described the scenes he sees daily. He declined to use his name because he was not authorized to talk to the media.
Earlier that day, as he drove the Red Line subway, he saw a man masturbating in his seat and several people whom he refers to as "sleepers," people who get high and nod off on the train.
"We don't even see any businesspeople anymore. We don't see anybody going to Universal. It's just people who have no other choice [than] to ride the system, homeless people and drug users."

State-by-state, Mississippi and Arizona have the highest COVID-19 death rates (in data updated July 5). Conversely, Hawaii and Vermont have the lowest, while states like Illinois and Texas are roughly in line with the national average. There are many factors that intersect to determine a state's mortality rate from COVID-19, such as public health policies, population age or comorbidities, and vaccination.

Some of this has to do with the insurance companies not paying for the damages that have been wrote by these events.
Also, when jobs disappear, and income cannot keep up those at the bottom will leave before it gets any more severe for them.
Now the banks are collapsing on top of it and there is no insurance to cover losses until the fed stepped in.

tahanson43206,
Smuggling will obviously be a problem, whether we're talking about drugs or weapons. You can either choose to disarm the next group of prospective victims because you're terrified of other people, or ensure that everyone who is not a known violent criminal is legally armed, serving to deter acts of aggression against both individuals, groups, nation-states, and humanity as a whole.
In this universe, the natural world is not a kind or just place. You either accept that as fact, pretend that reality isn't real, or some combination of the two. Most people do a bit of both. Either way, reality is still real, humans are still animals, and animals still prey on other animals. It's not even a "human only" problem. It affects all animals and plants. Life is competition / struggle, like it or not. This issue is about as complex to me as accepting that the sky above me is, in point of fact, blue. It just is. Whether I agree with that or not is irrelevant. The sky doesn't care what I think about its color- never has and never will. Similarly, I don't get upset that rabid dogs will bite me. I refrain from sticking my hands near their mouth, and put them down if they try to go after me and mine, and that's how we avoid being bitten.
Is that ugly / unfair / unjust / cruel? I don't know. That's a matter of perspective. It's life. My heart doesn't bleed for any of them. I know what they're all capable of doing to each other, to me and mine, I accept that it is so, and prepare accordingly. If you don't live in fantasyland, then nothing someone else does will ever surprise you. Is it appalling, sickening even, to watch what countries like Palestine and Israel do to each other in the name of their religion? Yes. It's not going to change their behavior. America still backs Israel, for better or worse.

If Mars has a small population and is busy keeping machines working in difficult conditions how bad would its smuggling be?
maybe it would eventually have its first murder mystery, who done it?
The legality of cannabis in Antarctica is unknown but some people have noticed a smell of weed at some sites, maybe it becomes addictive, there is also a bar and some degree of Alcoholism for a people who maybe first wanted to unwind and relax.
A smuggling problem when a population is flooded with drug product seems to be more of a border, cultural and police problem, the USA has a lot of border, Canada and Alaska thousands upon thousands of miles which can be crossed on foot, a smaller but also thousands of miles or km at Mexico which has some secure border or some secure fencing in some places, many ways to enter by Land by Sea and Narcotic Products moving by Air. When it is a synthetic drug smuggled for a people who demand illegal drugs, after a while the local drug dealer crime gang figures out how to chemically make the same product on a local level. In Japan a land you can not walk to it is a series of islands so maybe having a natural advantage of a Sea helps secure your border, a change in culture and Law and Order might put others out of business. Some borders are showing horrific crime and terror events. More than ordinary crime but religion jihad and ethnic hatred, a terror attack of mass murder.
They say weapons in the Gaza-Israel attacks might have been smuggled by sea.

'How Did Hamas Acquire Advanced Rockets'?
https://www.military.com/daily-news/202 … ckets.html
In 2014, Gen. Ahmad Hosseini, then the commander of Iran’s Revolutionary Guard Corps missile force, acknowledged the key role Tehran played in developing Hamas’ missile program. Years earlier, he recounted, Hamas engineers had been “armed and trained by Hezbollah (Iran’s proxy force in Lebanon). . . Some of them even came to Iran for training.” Hosseini added that the father of Iran’s own missile force, the late Gen. Hassan Tehrani Moghaddam, “armed them and guided them.”
Initially, Iran’s Quds Force, together with Hezbollah, instructed Hamas engineers in making rockets from common materials like pipes, fertilizer and sugar, said Ido Levy, an associate fellow at the Washington Institute for Near East Policy, a pro-Israel think tank, in a 2021 paper. This, he wrote, enabled Hamas to begin domestic production of its short-range Qassam rocket, which the militants fired at Israeli towns just north of the Gaza Strip.
Later, Iran began smuggling the components of its own home-manufactured Fajr 3 and Fajr 5 ballistic missiles, with ranges of 27 miles and 47 miles respectively, into Gaza by hiding them aboard ships with cargoes bound for European ports on the Mediterranean.
According to Fabian Hinz, an expert on Middle East missile proliferation with the London-based International Institute for Strategic studies, the ships disembarked from Iranian ports, sailed around the Arabian peninsula and made their way up the Red Sea to Port Sudan, where the missile components were offloaded to warehouses operated by Iran’s Quds Forces with the approval of Sudan’s Islamist President Omar al-Bashir,
While the Iranian cargo vessels continued through the Suez Canal to their destinations, Iranian agents in Sudan moved the missile components overland through Egypt to the Sinai Peninsula, where nomadic Bedouin tribesmen working with Hamas smuggled them into Gaza through tunnels dug under the Gaza-Egyptian border. Iranian-trained Hamas engineers then reassembled the parts into operable missiles, which were fired at the cities of Ashkelon, Ashdod and Tel Aviv farther up the Mediterranean coast when hostilities with Israel erupted in 2012.
“The magnitude of (Hamas) bombing is much bigger and the precision is much better in this conflict,” Mkhaimar Abusada, a professor of political science at Al-Azhar University in Gaza City, told the Times of Israel. “It’s shocking what they’ve been able to do under siege.”
Iran has denied any involvement in the Hamas attack on Israel, but Israeli officials brushed off Tehran’s disclaimer.

New twist in case of Antarctica poisoning death
https://www.nzherald.co.nz/nz/new-twist … 4KX4DNZ2Q/
The mysterious murder of Rodney Marks has gone unsolved for over 17 years and the investigation is still ongoing.
https://allthatsinteresting.com/rodney-marks
On May 11, 2000, Rodney Marks got sick. He was feverish, complaining of stomach pains and nausea, and had been back and forth to the doctor multiple times. Within 36 hours, he was dead.
Some alleged its a murder mystery poisoning or possible murder, at the South Pole Station
36 people who won't co-operate?
A Mysterious Death at the South Pole
Fifty people. The most remote base on the planet. No way in or out for eight months. Then one of them dies under curious circumstances. A new look into one of Antarctica's most enduring enigmas.
Schneider says things have been slowly changing for a decade now, and old-school Polies like him are an endangered species. He was puzzled by the introduction of a follow-up psych test, mostly dealing with addiction and mostly handed to those who spent time in 90 South. He also began to notice that fellow veterans were no longer being asked back in favor of more rule-abiding new blood.
https://www.mensjournal.com/travel/a-my … e-20131125
"The government just underestimates the importance of the culture," Schneider says. "It's strange; you would think they would keep some of these old-timers around because of their institutional knowledge. Tradition used to mean a lot down there."
Despite the changes, there's one tradition Schneider refuses to let die: a living memory of his good friend Rodney Marks. After the winter crew of 2000 buried him in the ice, they planted an Australian flag over his grave, a temporary marker to help them find the casket again at the end of the season. When his body was flown back to Christchurch, a flag was all that remained at the South Pole to mark the tragedy. Schneider decided it should stay. Since then, each time he returns to Amundsen-Scott he removes the old, brittle, sun-baked piece of cloth and replaces it with a new one. For nearly 10 years now, he and three of Marks's other close friends have acted as unofficial stewards, making sure there's always a Commonwealth Star waving at Marks's last resting place in Antarctica.
"The NSF hates it and continually fights to get rid of it," says Schneider. "I guess they don't want there to be a reminder of the incident. But I want that flag there, and Rodney's family likes the fact that that point in the ice is marked. The fact that the flag moves farther away from the base each year, as the ice moves, is a very graphic reminder of the passage of time since this terrible event in our lives. At some point it might die, but the ephemeral nature of it makes it a powerful memorial."
With or without the flag, it's doubtful anyone will ever forget the curious death of the South Pole scientist in the winter of 2000. One crew member's blog from 2006 says it's now lore that the fuel arches are haunted by Marks's ghost; as recently as 2004, Schneider overheard some Polies who never even knew Marks talking about his "murder." "People love putting rumors out there, and South Pole stories become mythical," he says.
Ultimately, Rodney Marks may have simply slipped through the cracks – disowned by the NSF for the sake of its reputation; overlooked by his native Australia; left to rest in peace without resolution by a coroner and a detective exhausted by an eight-year battle with the NSF; nothing more than a stark reminder to his fellow Polies that at the South Pole, shit happens.
Polies have a saying: "What happens on the ice stays on the ice," and, to them, to try to help outsiders understand what life is like there is an antithesis to why one goes there in the first place. Perhaps Rodney Marks himself would be perfectly happy remaining one of the South Pole's great enduring mysteries.
crime is rare in such a place
Even if this did turn out to be a crime like murder and someone jailed, the South Pole would still have one of the Lowest Crime Rates on Planet Earth.

Israel limits the amount of load the trucks may carry, ostensibly for security reasons. In the past, the total height of goods stacked on trucks was not allowed to exceed 1.2 meters. The Israeli authorities did, however, not explain why they did not use to its full potential the scanner, donated by the Dutch government and calibrated according to the military's specifications, which can scan at a height of 2 meters. In February 2016, the allowed height was increased to 1.5 meters.

In June 2010, United Nations envoy to the Middle East and former UK Prime Minister Tony Blair stated that "The policy of Gaza is counter-productive and what [Israel] should be doing is allow material in to rebuild homes and sanitation and power and water systems and allow business to flourish. Nor do we in fact do damage to the position of Hamas by harming people in Gaza. People are harmed when the quality of service is poor and people cannot work." He also called for Hamas to stop the "terrorism coming out of Gaza". In the same month, Robert Serry, the UN special envoy for Middle East peace process, also said that "The flotilla crisis is the latest symptom of a failed policy. The situation in Gaza is unsustainable and the current policy is unacceptable and counter-productive, and requires a different, more positive strategy. The closure and blockade of the Gaza Strip needs to come to an end. There is now a welcome international consensus on Gaza."
In the September 2011 Palmer Report, the UN investigative committee for the 2010 Flotilla to Gaza said that Israel's naval blockade of Gaza was legal under international law, but criticised the nature of the Israeli raid. Later that same month, five independent U.N. rights experts reporting to the U.N. Human Rights Council rejected that conclusion, saying the blockade had subjected Palestinians in Gaza to collective punishment in "flagrant contravention of international human rights and humanitarian law."

California, part of the new railway bridge is starting to cost Billions. Nobody can do management of budgets and projects anymore, they keep throwing bad money at bad ideas and when they money starts to run out keep printing that cash from here to the Moon?
Now how can you visualize all this, what happens if you stacked 100 Million or 500 million if you stacked 1 Billion or 10 Billion or 100 Billion or 'One Trillion' in clean thin US $1 bills on top of each other, the stack would be
10 Billion is 123 times higher than Everest
so then one hundred Billion is 6,767 miles high or 1230 times higher than Everest
and one Trillion is 67,866 miles high in a straight stack...that stack goes far beyond Geosynchronous Orbit located around 22,236 miles 35,786 kilometers
Golden Gate Bridge $37 million, adjusted 784 million?
What can you do with zero point 1 of a Billion or 100 million? you can fund new propulsion spacecraft like DeepSpace1 or fund a movie like 'Sonic The Hedgehog' or 'Gravity' or 'Mars Attacks!' or ' 'X-Men' or you can also use that 100 million on some Afghanistani feminist gay lesbian LGBT gender equality program in Afghanistan while abuses like terrorism, the 'Bacha Bazi' or the stoning of people to death go on and you already gave their 'nation' a Sharia Law constitution, followers of other belief or their faith are only allowed perform their rites within the limits of the perverted Jihadi Sharia Law, they follow a prophet who married a 6 yr old girl and sucked on the tongue of young boys and was not sure if he talked with angels or demons...and you can throw some 100 million Diversity LGBT Feminism program at them in Afghan land while it is banned under islamic Law? back in 2004 when the USA was helping these mohammedans in their stoneage mindset write a 'Constitution' a Sharia Law one.
You could use that 100 million instead to fund a number of business ideas maybe in the USA, give tax breaks or grants for a building project, heath in hospitals, education or start ups
Cost to make a very expensive Hollywood Blockbuster Avengers, Jurassic Park, Harry Potter, Barbie etc $250-400+ million? 380?

Hoover Dam was built for a cost of $49 million or $760 million adjusted for inflation
Five hundred meter Telescope China 1 Billion
Voyager missions costs estimates from 760 million to $865 million to 1 Billion
Viking missions to Mars roughly US$1 billion at the time of launch
You can fund the development of a new ship capsule for example Boeing spending $1.5 billion to develop Starliner, or you might attempt and fail to do what Elon Musk has done building a company from the ground up, Falcon rockets, commercial flight, Cargo Dragon and manned space flight, US$800 million? https://web.archive.org/web/20150715061 … rcialcrew/
Boeing initially awarded a US$90-100 million contract, go to any of the companies with experience and ask them to begin making a new man-rated crewed spacecraft, develop a new-generation craft for the Moon or Mars, which can perform a number of tasks, transport cargo have recoverable payloads, return to Earth with safe human landing, dock in LEO etc.
Nevado del Ruiz República de Colombia Volcano Amero Explosions 3 Billion in damage and loss, mudflows, landslides, and debris flows
Cassini-Huygens go to Saturn, Land on Titan, have a Nuclear powered Orbiter explorer the Saturn system Cost of mission: $3 + billion
Channel Tunnel between South of England and North of France 4 Billion?
Launch the SLS Rocket - 5 Billion?
Hubble telescope 9 Billion
JWST $9.7 billion
California, part of a railway bridge
9 years and 11 billion dollars
https://twitter.com/BillyM2k/status/1786455294094270656
and spending another 65 billion
