Re: Public Hearing - President's Comm on Moon, Mars, & Beyond

This topic was opened in 2004 and no one responded.

I'm bringing it forward to 2022 to see if there are any records of the Presidential Commission with this title.

I've participated in such commissions as a member of the public invited to speak.  Astronaut Neil Armstrong was the guest of honor for the one I attended.

He had agreed to take part in that particular commission.  Since he was notably a very private person, it was notable that he was willing to help outl

Another member of the commission meeting I attended was Marcia Smith.

I asked Bing for any information it might find on the Presidential Commission with Neil Armstrong and Marcia Smith, and it found a great number of images.

Marcia Smith runs a space policy web site: SpacePolicyOnline.com

However, ** this ** post is about the 2004 Commission advertised by Susan Flowers ...

I asked Bing about ** that ** commission, and it found a ** lot ** of information.

For one thing, it was chaired by Edward C. "pete" Aldridge.

The second public hearing took place in Dayton, Ohio, at the US Air Force Museum.

The total number of citations exceeds 5 pages, so I suppose some are far from the subject. However, all but one of the citations on the first page of results are about the 2004 Commission.

I'd be interested if anyone can find a record of the results of the Commission, beyond the public education value which was inherent in the activity.
