Re: Right-wing outlets escalate anti-SpaceX propaganda campaign

SpaceNut,

The top 1 percent (taxpayers with AGI of $546,434 and above) earned 20.1 percent of total AGI in 2019 and paid 38.8 percent of all federal income taxes.  In 2019, the top 1 percent of taxpayers accounted for more income taxes paid than the bottom 90 percent combined.

YOU CAN TAKE EVERY CENT THEY HAVE, BUT NEVER COME CLOSE TO PAYING FOR THE AMOUNT OF MONEY THAT OUR GOVERNMENT SPENDS.  THIS IS BASIC MATH, EVEN IF YOUR IDEOLOGY PREVENTS YOU FROM "SEEING IT".  THIS IS ADD / SUBTRACT / MULTIPLY / DIVIDE, SKILLS EVERY AMERICAN CHILD SHOULD'VE LEARNED IN GRADE SCHOOL.  TAX THESE 1% PEOPLE AT 100%, AND YOU WILL NEVER COME CLOSE TO PAYING FOR THE AMOUNT OF SPENDING THAT YOUR FEDERAL GOVERNMENT DOES.

Re: Right-wing outlets escalate anti-SpaceX propaganda campaign

Mars_B4_Moon,

Actual users of the StarLink service, who commented on that article, said StarLink is both the cheapest and only realistic option for them, offering speeds well beyond what they had before.  Since Uncle Sam hands out money like candy for more dubious projects, naturally, any project that benefits the common man and woman has it's funding pulled.

I think this is yet another example where the Biden Administration has snubbed Elon Musk for not employing union labor.  No fundamentally new product is perfect out of the gate.  FCC should demand better or more consistent performance, as promised, but they can't demand something that can't be delivered or doesn't exist.

Democrats want those poor ignorant country folk to "learn to code", then take away their best tool to learn to do that.  Typical.  Isn't it funny how the right-wing benefited from StarLink, so now it's funding is going away?  None of those right-wingers had anything bad to say about the service they received from SpaceX, or Elon Musk, either.

This is about keeping poor people poor, no more and no less.

Beryl Howell judge with Trump derangement syndrome ( TDS) or maybe admires the McCarthy era or Spanish Inquisition or just hates Musk?

Judge accused Elon Musk of withholding Twitter data to ‘cozy up’ to Trump

https://nypost.com/2023/08/16/judge-acc … -to-trump/

At another point in the hearing, the judge also suggested Twitter was acting in Trump’s interest to make up for having kicked the 45th president off the platform following the riot.
