For SpaceNut re #25
Thanks for the link to that (to me ** very **) interesting report on some remarkable research. The independent arrival at the same point, in labs 2000 miles apart, ** really ** makes the discovery impressive.
I liked the hint that it appears that more of our DNA that was thought to be junk may be just waiting for the right circumstances to put back into use.

So, "They" have done it again. We should encourage this in "Those People".

Rejuvenation of woman's skin could tackle diseases of ageing

Researchers have rejuvenated a 53-year-old woman's skin cells, so they are the equivalent of a 23-year-old's.
First issue, vanity? Well, the method is not yet mastered anyway, but could be helpful for skin injuries for sure. Also, it is a real organ, (The skin), and likely without makeup, the better is looks, the better it should work.
As for those cultures where suffering is seen as a virtue, they are welcome to participate in all the suffering they want to, just don't inflict it on others, or damage society with your unhappy state induced by yourself.
Health extension can be presumed to lead to life extension and some people seem to feel that they can appoint themselves to judge other people and so also appoint themselves to govern others. Again they can go to hell, more or less but don't put or drag other people there with you.
Skin of a 23 year old. This also will reflect on mental health, I think. Yes learning to live with less vanity is good, but also having a comfortable notion of yourself, is good for mental health, I would think.
And again tissue damage repairs is a skill we should want. Damage from ageing is also damage we should want to repair.
Done.

The 'Benjamin Button' effect: Scientists can reverse aging in mice. The goal is to do the same for humans
By Sandee LaMotte, CNNUpdated 0606 GMT (1406 HKT) June 3, 2022
So, what about a world where humans persist longer to be consumers, and robots do lots of productive work?
Then perhaps with greater wealth, more children, maybe even artificial wombs, since lots of women don't want to be women. Not a criticism, just an observation. Yes, men messed up as well? Sure, that's true also.
But I have never been into the juvenile girls against boys gender xenophobia process that I was raised in.
But people living longer, and robots doing lots of labor.
I think I am very interested in the possibility of Avatar robots in Earth/Moon orbits and surely orbits of Mars as well. But this then gets off topic. I will copy this post to......."Index» Terraformation» Worlds, and World Engine type terraform stuff.", post #286.
Done.

Details are still sparse, but it is apparent that these two developments are likely the same thing and Hevolution is funded with $ Billions of dollars (rumored to be as much as $20 Billion).
