will need to followup with James for the data base access to the lost crash data which I think he has on another data base as seen via the old format before the current design its still not going to be easy for indirect methods to restore those posts.

Gmail accounts are cross linked currently and will attempt again tomorrow to correct the issue.

A related question just occurred to me.... will the existing user names work for the posts to be recovered?

One of the first tasks that daGeck0 might undertake would be to perform a validation run to compare the user names in the lost data to the user names in the current FluxBB database.

If existing gmail accounts are cross-linked, why not just forget them and create a new one?

One possible answer is that it is already difficult to keep track of all the email addresses that exist.

Just left the NSS meeting ... the main presentation was on James Webb telescope.

The presentation will be stored on YouTube within a day or two, if anyone is interested.

The Webb part of the meeting starts on the button at 1 hour in. It was still going when I left at 2 hours.

The presentation contained a lot of material that was new to me, so I found it worth while.

Do you need more time to solve the gmail account problem?

I understand that getting gmail working is a low priority with everything else going on, but on the other hand, it appears to be the ** only ** way that you can supervise work being done on the forum database.

If there is a reason why gmail is NOT an acceptable solution, please share what it might be.

From my perspective, you already have at least two gmail acounts, because they are (somehow) cross-linked.

Again from my perspective, you ** could ** create a new gmail account and just ignore the old ones.

** And ** with experience gained from adversity, you ** could ** avoid cross-linking the new gmail account.
