SpaceNut ... I looked through this Index level to see if there is a topic about the Registration Text posted on the Register page.

The text above seems to adequately deal with the kinds of spam registrations we have seen in the past year or so.
I'd like to invite consideration of a second paragraph stating what kinds of members we are looking for.
First of all, there is no need to register if a person is never going to make a contribution.
Second .... while there is no person with the time to review applications for membership, the applicant could take on that responsibility, if they are willing.
Thus, a short paragraph describing the kind of contributors you are looking for could be helpful to persons of good will.
Expertise in some area of human knowledge would be a plus.
Experience is some area of technology that might be applicable to the Mars project would be a plus.
The ability to educate others about some subject, coupled with the time, energy and willingness to take this on would be a plus.
During the time I've been active, we lost Void and gained Calliban. Those are two very different contributors, and thanks to the forum archive, their contributions are preserved for those who can puzzle out the search mechanism to find them.

There is some more content in other areas which would be used for the not so free topic and behavour in general towards each others post as well and will see what the limits of that text is for display.
