Hmmm. The US has done this so many times, to so many people, that complaining about it happening to you is a sick joke. There has been a huge amount of fuss on the Dem side about possible Russian influence in favour of the Republican party. So what? The Russians no doubt lobby just as other countries do. It is doubtful that the Republicans received as much help from the Russians as the Dems do from the Jewish/Israel lobby. One rule for us; another for the goyum. Of course, the Israeli lobby hate the Russian government and people, for the heinous crime of refusing to allow neoliberal globalists to asset strip their country. The Russians wanted Russia for the Russians and booted the oligarchs out in the early 2000s. And for that they are hated. And given the power of the Zionist lobby in US politics, the Americans have to turn Russia into an enemy to please their masters. Never mind that this has nothing to do with the interests of any but a tiny proportion of the US public.
It looks increasingly likely that the Russians played no part in the 2016 election. But never let the truth spoil a politically convenient lie.

Eh, the Russians should have just got Russian-Americans to do it, if they wanted to meddle. Register as the Russian-American Political Action Committee, lobby for pro-Russian candidates, and they would be untouchable.

Attorney General William Barr gave a speech calling for tech companies to give the government a 'backdoor' into all encrypted communications. Attorney General William Barr is very worried that he won't be able to access your private communications — so much so that he wants technology companies to give his Justice Department a backdoor for law enforcement. Attorney General William Barr wants to know how the FBI’s Trump-Russia probe got started. And he’s calling for back-up: from the US Attorney in Connecticut. Also on today’s episode: a security flaw on WhatsApp could have given hackers your private info, and some pride for your favorite animated aardvark’s teacher. This has William Barr’s fingerprints all over it – but if so, he may have just blown it. It very much appears that William Barr used his position as Attorney General to force the Southern Dostrict of New York to bring an end to its Trump-Cohen probe, because the SDNY was taking this case seriously, and no one but Barr was in a position to forcibly tell the SDNY otherwise.

SpaceNut,
The backdoor software started before former President Bush took office. Anyone who thinks it's not being used is absurdly naive. That said, unlike Democrats who only care about power and using the power of the state against their fellow Americans, most Republicans only care about people following our laws.
Not even the US AG can prevent Police and states from investigating people suspected of crimes.
This reeks of more disinformation spread by the propaganda arm of the Democrat Party.

Some back doors on devices are still not there for the government law enforcement to make use of for criminal activity such as the Apple products. So long as its that use I have no issue for law enformcement but when hackers make use of it thats another story....
In less than a decade I know that all of my protected accounts for personal data for credit have been hacked into from the use of back doors. I am sure all that is offered is credit protection for limit time periods....its a joke.

Trouble in our right to vote seems around the corner as illinois-automatic-voter-registration-delays-worry-experts
Nearly 20 states have approved some form. But the delays in Illinois, and elsewhere, have elections experts and advocates worried, saying it’s meant missed opportunities for voters and less time to work out potential problems ahead of 2020. The challenges could offer a glimpse of what’s in store for other states trying out the increasingly popular voter reform.

Voter purging. Voter registration lists, also called voter rolls, are the gateway to voting because a citizen typically cannot cast a vote that will count unless his or her name appears on the voter registration rolls. State and local officials regularly remove—or purge—citizens from voter rolls. After a detailed study of the purge practices of 12 states, Voter Purges reveals that election officials across the country are routinely striking millions of voters from the rolls through a process that is shrouded in secrecy, prone to error, and vulnerable to manipulation. If the purge of the rolls is done hastily or by using ineffective practices, up to 1.5 million registered voters could be removed. The National Voter Registration Act requires states to conduct general voter list maintenance and remove ineligible voters from the rolls.
A number of states are purging the voter registries which were hack the last time but just how many is the question.
The Texas Secretary of State’s Office is in the midst of purging voter registration records, ostensibly to clear the files from records of people who might have died, moved or ineligible to vote.
California to Purge 1.5 Million Inactive Voter Registrations L.A. County has a registration rate of 112 percent of its citizen population.
Ohio Voter registration deadline for the Nov. 5, 2019 election is Oct. 7, 2019. Over 235,000 voter could be purged from the state voter rolls.

The right to vote and enter your name in the districtate county registry should be a do once unless you move out of where you are authorized to vote. But purging the rolls seems to be the latest trend in reducing your right to vote.
Judge orders Wisconsin to purge more than 200,000 voters, New law requires clerks to clean up the stagnant rolls after 4 years. County Clerks conduct a 4 year voter record maintenance after a voter fails to vote at any election in 4 consecutive years. This is a notice sent to the voter in June following a general election to any voters who are registered to vote for the past four years but have not voted. More than 234,000 voters in Wisconsin would be made unable to cast their ballot unless they register again before the next election under a lawsuit filed Wednesday that liberals fear could dampen turnout among Democrats in the 2020 presidential race. The lawsuit could affect how many voters are able to cast there vote.

Another state purging voting registries.... Judge allows Georgia to purge 309K voter registrations overnight
Why not dump the complete roll and start fresh forcing all to re-register. Also some places still have a head and poll tax for the right to vote which must be paid....

SpaceNut,
That's an excellent idea. I would go further and state that anyone who wishes to vote should also require a National / Real ID.
Maybe it's just me, but government mandating payment of a tax to vote sounds facially unconstitutional, which should render any such tax null and void, not to mention illegal at a federal level. Nobody should have to pay a tax to vote... Ever. Fees for identification are just part of the who's who game since we decided to allow tens of millions of illegals into our country, but the government also offers free or reduced fee applications for acceptable forms of photo identification.
I've changed my opinion on restoration of rights as a result of reading about the insane number of overturned convictions, so I would also say that formerly convicted felons should have the right to vote, provided they're not participants in any phase of the parole system. If we can't trust them to vote, then they should still be in prison or on parole. After the government-proscribed punishment for breaking the law has been completed, we either trust them to behave in a lawful manner or we don't, in which case they should not be free. There should probably be some kind of exception to this rule for violent crimes or repeat offenders, but someone caught with a dime bag of weed in college shouldn't be barred from voting or running for office. If someone hasn't committed a crime in, say 10 years, the likelihood of recidivism is fairly low and there needs to be full restoration of constitutionally protected rights.

No matter whom is the top Democratic pick at the top there needs to be a collective front to the abusing power in the corner office and not to fellow Democrats of unsupport as happened in the last election. The GOP has shown that following sheep are better than individual minds.

SpaceNut,
The GOP has shown that they're not buying into the relentless 24/7/365 "Orange Man Bad" propaganda campaign that never presents actual evidence of wrongdoing, unless being a Republican that the people voted into office is evidence of wrongdoing, which in their minds appears to be the case. Anything and everything that Democrat media and political hacks can twist into "Orange Man Bad" will be twisted six ways to Sunday as they try, and fail, thankfully, to make their case to the American people.
The one thing we can count on from the Democrat Party is absurdly petty and childish tactics, if not outright madhouse type behavior, that causes their voters to either sit on their hands or join our party so they at least have a chance at securing a better result.
"I'm crazy today, he's made me crazy this week. He’s winning because I’m getting nuttier and nuttier… This weekend I’m going to drink, I’m going to eat every carb in the house." - Joy Behar
No, honey, President Trump didn't make you crazy. You were most likely never a sane or simply rational person to begin with. In other countries they'd put you in a mental institution to inhibit the spread of your degenerate irrationality, but here in the US our communist media glorifies depravity and insanity by putting crazy people on national television or on the front pages of our magazines, whilst our "learned" college professors mentally disable our children in our schools. That's why so many people "just know" so many things that simply aren't so. They've been thoroughly brainwashed or indoctrinated to participate in mass hysteria over non-events. Any attempt to pry them away from their self-destructive ideology to "come up for air", so to speak, only causes them to descend deeper into madness.

These researchers serve as an informal internet police force that combats malicious attempts to use false information to sway public opinion, sow political discord and foment distrust in traditional institutions like the news media and the government.
Now his skills are needed more than ever, as the 2020 presidential election approaches and the tactics of internet trickery have been adopted by governments, activist groups and clickbait farms in at least 70 countries. In tandem, a disinformation-for-hire industry has emerged. And domestic disinformation efforts in the United States are also on the rise.

“Mail ballots, they cheat,” Mr. Trump Is Pushing a False Argument on Vote-by-Mail Fraud. Here Are the Facts. “Mail ballots are very dangerous for this country because of cheaters. They go collect them. They are fraudulent in many cases.
Mr. Stewart pointed to several documented voting fraud cases of recent decades involving mail or absentee ballots, most recently the race in North Carolina’s Ninth Congressional District in 2018, when an operative who rounded up absentee ballots for the Republican candidate, Mark Harris, was charged with election fraud. The practice is known as ballot harvesting.
Studies have shown that all forms of voting fraud are extremely rare in the United States. A national study in 2016 found few credible allegations of fraudulent voting. A panel that Mr. Trump charged with investigating election corruption found no real evidence of fraud before he disbanded it in 2018.

If they need to maintain social distancing (in November - are they not planning on having it dealt with by then?), then put the polling stations in parks (and car parks) where there is plenty of room to queue, and hold the election over several days if you have to (it's not like America doesn't have the time for that). People aren't supposed to be with others in the booths.
