Re: Kavanaugh Supreme court Nomination

Better than Hillary who went after the women who accused her husband of assault...she threatened them publicly.  She also laughed about an underage victim - she helped get the assailant (she was representing as a lawyer) off by use of a lie detector test, which she knew produced a false result...Haven't heard any rage about this from the Dems for some reason.

Kellyanne Conway says she is a victim of sexual assault

Admitting to it happening to her but defending the men that are and have done it.....

We do know that President Trump has been accused of sexual harassment or sexual assault by more than one dozen women, but has denied these claims. The President has also defended several man against sexual assault or misconduct claims, including former Alabama Senate candidate Roy Moore, and former Fox host Bill O’Reilly but they were found to have committed the crimes that they are acused of.

Fight over Kavanaugh intensifies amid confusion over limits of FBI sexual assault investigation but was also opposed to a “fishing expedition” that could take a broader look at Kavanaugh’s credibility and behavior.

federal investigators are pursuing allegations made by two women but not a third, Julie Swetnick, who signed a sworn affidavit accusing Kavanaugh of sexually aggressive behavior and being present at parties where gang rapes occurred.

Sounds to me like the FBI is trying to defuse the situation and not investigating even when there are known charges that should be brought.

Charles Ludington, a former varsity basketball player and friend of Kavanaugh’s at Yale, told The Washington Post on Sunday that he plans to deliver a statement to the FBI field office in Raleigh on Monday detailing violent drunken behavior by Kavanaugh in college.

Hillary jealous? Lol Career, career, career.

Her laughing about the victim's case was many years later. Nothing to do with her being the legal representative.  That was reminiscence - of the worst kind.

The National Sexual Violence Resource Center found that 63 percent of incidents of sexual abuse go unreported to the police.

Feinstein calls on White House, FBI to release scope of Kavanaugh investigation

Sen. Dianne Feinstein (Calif.), the ranking Democrat on the Senate Judiciary Committee, is calling for the White House and the FBI to release the written directive President Trump sent launching the investigation into Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh.

Feinstein sent a letter to White House counsel Don McGahn and FBI Director Christopher Wray on Sunday requesting that a copy of Trump's written directive be released to the committee.

"Given the seriousness of the allegations before the Senate, I am writing to request that you provide the Senate Judiciary Committee with a copy of the written directive by the White House to the FBI," Feinstein wrote.

She also requested that the bureau release the names of any additional witnesses or evidence that is included if FBI agents expand the original investigation.

Re: Kavanaugh Supreme court Nomination

Kavanaugh’s 'bizarre' claim of Democratic conspiracy revealed he can’t be ‘nonpartisan’ as a judge: Sen. Mazie Hirono, D-Hawaii

she was shocked by Kavanaugh’s accusation that Democrats are attempting to block his nomination as "revenge on behalf of the Clintons."

Kavanaugh “totally showed himself to be … the political operative and the partisan operative that he has been.”  "He’s accused of being a gang rapist, a bumbling, stumbling drunk, a degenerate person

Also out of this is the education component that Kavanaugh case unfolds as DeVos readies sexual assault rule

The dramatic Senate testimony last week by Christine Blasey Ford and Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh came as Education Secretary Betsy DeVos considers new guidelines that could drastically change the way allegations of sexual violence are investigated on college campuses.

Brett Sokolow, a lawyer who heads an association of sexual harassment investigators on campuses, said his colleagues closely watched the hearing and may use it for future trainings.

At stake is whether schools should require higher standards of evidence when handling complaints and whether both parties should have access to that evidence. Also under review is the use of mediators and the possibility of the accuser and the accused cross-examining each other.

DeVos' new guidelines are expected to address whether schools should have to investigate as soon as they are aware of alleged misconduct or only after a student files a formal complaint.

Re: Kavanaugh Supreme court Nomination

We're really grasping at straws here, aren't we?

At this juncture, we still have zero tangible evidence of a sexual assault that was committed by Judge Kavanaugh.  We'll be waiting until after we're all dead to get that evidence since it doesn't exist and everybody already knows that.

Dr. Ford has STILL failed to file a Police Report in Maryland!

There is no statute of limitations on sexual assault with the intent to rape someone.  There is definitely no statue of limitations on attempted murder anywhere in America.  If someone prevents you from breathing, then that fits the description of attempted murder to a "T".  STILL no report!

Someone tries to kill you while they attempt to rape you and it's such a big secret that you don't tell your own parents or your best friend who was allegedly at the party with you where you almost died?

With friends like Dr. Ford, Leland Keyser doesn't need any enemies!

File a report already, or admit that this is yet another failed Democrat attempt to block Judge Kavanaugh's nomination to SCOTUS!

If you want to block a judicial nomination, you'll need more than he-said she-said with zero corroborating testimony from any other parties allegedly involved, to include the best friend of the accuser.  If the Democrats are serious about blocking President Trump's SCOTUS nomination for legal reasons, rather than just undermining our SCOTUS nominations process and ruining the personal reputation of Judge Kavanaugh, then why won't any of Dr. Ford's lawyers advise her to file a Police Report with the Maryland State Police?  Is it because they already know this entire alleged incident is fabricated and their client is already in enough legal jeopardy for perjuring herself before Congress?

Re: Kavanaugh Supreme court Nomination

Senate Judiciary Committee’s request to turn over evidence related to Ford’s therapy sessions and the polygraph test she took, saying that the FBI has not contacted them for an interview. Dr. Ford’s attorneys were willing to share evidence with The Washington Post many weeks ago. The evidence Grassley is referring to relates to the first known reference of the alleged assault, reportedly made during a 2012 couples therapy session. Ford’s husband Russell recalled that she named Brett Kavanaugh as her attacker.

Senators are being told that they will get to review a supplemental FBI background investigation into Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh on Thursday, but only one copy is being made available to senators under restricted conditions. 2009 memorandum of understanding stating that photocopying or other reproduction of the FBI background reports is prohibited. 100 senators decide to review the document and it takes each senator 30 minutes to peruse the document, it could take 50 hours for the entire chamber to examine it.

As FBI background check of Kavanaugh nears its end, probe appears to have been highly curtailed It appears that its going to be real thin as the FBI investigation seems real short on interviews. Kavanaugh's Yale classmates say they've struggled to connect with FBI

6 past FBI checks turn up nothing? Senate Democrats suggest past FBI background checks on Kavanaugh include evidence of inappropriate behavior not a whiff of ANY issue — at all — related in any way to inappropriate sexual behavior or alcohol abuse.

Donald Trump has been sharply condemned for mocking Dr Christine Blasey Ford – the woman who accused Brett Kavanaugh of sexual assault Three key Republicans condemn Trump for mocking Christine Blasey Ford

38 denominations National Council of Churches calls for Kavanaugh's nomination to be withdrawn they believe Kavanaugh has "disqualified himself from this lifetime appointment and must step aside immediately."

There are a number of accountings that it would seem that the FBI will not be investigating as Yale roommate says Kavanaugh lied under oath about drinking and yearbook

Re: Kavanaugh Supreme court Nomination

With all the lawyers that have clients indicating that they have not been contacted by the FBI shows that they were not allowed.
The non investigation report is in for the senate to view for each senator one at a time.

FBI probe of Kavanaugh sparks partisan fight over its thoroughness

The Republicans control the Senate by a 51-49 margin. If all the Democrats oppose Kavanaugh, Trump cannot afford to lose the support of more than one Republican for his nominee, with Vice President Mike Pence casting a tiebreaking vote. No Republicans have said they will vote against Kavanaugh.

If Kavanaugh is confirmed, impeachment could follow. Here’s how.

A limited FBI investigation into sexual assault claims against the federal judge is done.

Graves wrote that Kavanaugh had misled the Judiciary Committee about the stolen documents that Graves had written as chief counsel for nominations for Sen. Patrick J. Leahy (D-Vt.) when he was the chairman of the committee.

Kavanaugh, she wrote, “lied. Under oath. And he did so repeatedly.”

Therefore, she concluded, “he should not be confirmed. In fact, by his own standard, he should clearly be impeached.”

At the Constitutional Convention of 1787, the delegates concluded that even those holding the highest office would not be above the law, birthing the American system of impeachment.

Under the Constitution, the president, the vice president and “all civil Officers of the United States” (including those in the executive branch, plus federal judges) may be removed from office for “treason, bribery, or other high crimes and misdemeanors.” The procedure for impeaching a president or a federal judge is broadly the same.

Re: Kavanaugh Supreme court Nomination

Here is some more things that the FBI missed in the Kavanaugh investigation in Lawsuits point to large trove of unreleased Kavanaugh White House documents

New details have emerged about potentially thousands of Brett Kavanaugh’s White House emails and other records related to the Senate hacking scandal from early in the George W. Bush administration and other controversial subjects that have not been disclosed to the Senate, according to Democratic senators on the Judiciary Committee.

The undisclosed documents, which date from Kavanaugh’s time in the Bush White House, are set to be produced in coming weeks as a result of two Freedom of Information Act lawsuits, one pursued by Democratic senators on the Judiciary Committee and another by an outside privacy group, the Electronic Privacy Information Center (EPIC). Release of the documents is still subject to White House approval and other consultations.

Just like the FBI constraints....

Re: Kavanaugh Supreme court Nomination

One of Dr. Ford's lawyers needs to advise Dr. Ford to file a Police Report if anyone else is expected to take this accusation without evidence seriously.  The FBI investigated and their report merely told us what we already knew.  The Democrats said they would oppose President Trump's nominee before he or she was even named.  They've been good to their word on that account, but the endless delaying tactics failed.  SCOTUS will have its 9th member, as it should.

Re: Kavanaugh Supreme court Nomination

Senator Jeff Flake, Republican of Arizona, forced a one-week delay in the confirmation vote of Judge Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court by calling for a new F.B.I. investigation.

President Trump picked up the phone to call the White House counsel, Donald F. McGahn II, last Sunday. Tell the F.B.I. they can investigate anything, he told Mr. McGahn, because we need the critics to stop.

Mr. McGahn, according to people familiar with the conversation, told the president that the request goes far beyond the F.B.I.’s usual “supplemental background investigation,” which is, by definition, narrow in scope. The White House could not legally order the F.B.I. to rummage indiscriminately through someone’s life, Mr. McGahn told the president. And without a criminal investigation to pursue, agents could not use search warrants and subpoenas to try to get at the truth.

Since no supoenas were required to go to those that had already been contacting them it sounds like a cope out similar to the many previous times that the bureau has been asked to update a background check of a nominee to account for new information.

'Such a Slap in the Face.' Sexual Assault Survivors Who Met With Susan Collins Feel Betrayed She'll Vote for Kavanaugh

Casting her vote in the afirmative even after hearing from a bus full of sexual assault survivors, who shared their stories with Senator Collins who was teary eyed in very much a woman-to-woman conversation. Re: Kavanaugh Supreme court Nomination

Kavanaugh wasn't my first pick, but Democrats can hardly complain after they elected and elected and elected Robert Byrd, Ted Kennedy, Bill Clinton to the highest offices in the land with far more evidence presented against them.   I wouldn't vote for him because I think he was being disingenuous about his drinking, but I knew a LOT of friends that grew up, went into the military or college and came out highly professional people.    Blasey also left a LOT of bizarre holes in her story and had basically no corroborating evidence.   Most of it makes no sense at all.

Re: Kavanaugh Supreme court Nomination

It's an even bigger "slap in the face" to the entire judicial process when you won't trouble yourself to file a Police Report.  Since there's no statute of limitations to the scenario Dr. Ford described, she either doesn't believe in due process of law or she just made it all up, knowing full well she'll never be prosecuted for lying under oath because she's a Democrat.  Hillary Clinton was never prosecuted for lying under oath, either, even though the FBI had a preponderance of evidence indicating that she broke the law.  If we can't prosecute Mrs. Clinton for an obvious lie with actual evidence, or even stop her from running for another elected office, then the Democrats have no standing whatsoever when calling for a conservative SCOTUS nominee to not assume office when accusing him of a crime with precisely zero actual evidence.

Let's follow the links below to see how much "belief" Mrs. Clinton had in Kathy Shelton (you know, the 12 year old who was brutally raped and beaten by her client):

Hillary Clinton LAUGHING about GETTING CHILD RAPIST off charge in 1980's

Kathy Shelton speaks out about rape case involving Clinton

Despite the fact that she was so severely beaten that she was in a coma for 5 days and can't have children, the Democrat Party's candidate for President was laughing about it in a recorded interview and said it was "an interesting case".  Mrs. Clinton also said that that case forever destroyed her faith in the validity of polygraphs.  I can't imagine why she'd say that.

Democrats need to stop lying to the American people, stop turning our political processes into three ring circuses for partisan political reasons, and stop crying "wolf" when there is no wolf.

Re: Kavanaugh Supreme court Nomination

The fallout is just now starting with Trump says Republican Sen. Lisa Murkowski ‘will never recover’ for voting no on Kavanaugh

I think Trump wishes that everyone can not think for themselves and that they must fall in line with what ever he says. Congress House and Senate are elected by there state to serve the people of that state and are more than party members.

This was the Kavanaugh tiriod that cause her decision to vote no.

Kavanaugh's assertion that left-wing groups seeking "revenge on behalf of the Clintons" were behind the misconduct allegations suggests he would rule from the bench with a partisan bent.

She voted her Conscience based on the outburst....

Do you think your states representative represented you? I do not really expect any replies here....

How senators voted on Brett Kavanaugh

Vote withdrawn, but opposes nomination

Sen. Lisa Murkowski, R-Alaska

Not voting

Sen. Steve Daines, R-Montana (supports nomination; attending daughter's wedding)

I believe she did this out of honor for the other senator that could not be there as that was a very important day in his own private life that he should be forced to miss...
