I think robotisation is the way to accelerate infrastructure development on Mars and ensure human labour is used to advance that development rather than being focussed on other activities. Automation will also help of course. Here are YT vids showing what is already possible:

[I left the best to last! That looks like the sort of technique that might work on Mars. ]
For a Mars Mission it would be important to try and integrate these systems...so you would need fetch and carry robots...Boston Dynamics' Spot Mini looks like a good candidate for that role around the base...you'd need maintenance robots that can carry out basic maintenance on work robots (e.g. oiling, electric checks, battery replacement and so on).
