NASA approves SpaceX Load and Go procedure for manned Dragon Flights

Big victory for SpaceX! In spite of Thomas Stafford's earlier comments about the safety of the SpaceX "Load and Go," fuel loading procedure with astronauts aboard the spacecraft, NASA has tentatively approved the procedure.

Here's a link to the news release: https://spacenews.com/nasa-approves-loa … -launches/

This is another case of the "wasn't done this way 50 years ago," and the "not invented here" mind set being overcome by reason.

After the other tank had failed the analysis was done and has not had any issue since but thats what we thought with other previous rockets that have lost human life. Nasa is very much risk adverse at this point after the shuttle to switch over to another launch system that is untried at this point. To which the same conditions are to prevail with Orion SLS, boeing starliner ULA , dreamchaser's atlas v combination...until there is the combination flown enough we will remain on an at uneasy condition under the use of any new system.
Testing, quality control are the keys to making sure that humans stay safe on any launcher.

I am sort of wondering if this is the reason for why For first time in decades, astronaut quits NASA training

Robb Kulin resigned from NASA effective August 31 for personal reasons, spokeswoman Brandi Dean said, declining to provide further details.

It's not an easy gig to get -- some 18,000 people routinely seek the 12 spots that open each year.

I think he was orginally from Space x engineering.....
