"When Science Becomes Perverted By Politics"

We have two (2) Weapons to quell the Public Servant of Exacerbating Quintessence.
   ( Transparency   )    and    (   Occam's Razor   )

Current Trends of Linguistic Lambasting Long-in-the-Tooth Dissertations are, frankly: boring.
          (yes, I'm tasting the rainbow of flavorful vernacular)

Nothing, to this day.... has come close to JFK's Speech of September 12th, 1962 .... period.

After Apollo,
that actual practice of Science became separated from the Scientist who mastered it.

The reason why the US has a problem with politics entering into what we can do with space is started by Nasa being an agency funded by the federal government.

The next is due to how much money we must put this agency to do the bidding of the government and not so much its people.

The next piece of this is how Space X has turn over the apple cart of cost plus contracting with no controls to stop the contractors from asking for more once they start and can not turn back. Nasa is at a no turn back point to which we will need to bite the bullet and quite frankly ask the question why so much for what we are getting.
Of course the next question is to ask how can you reduce the costs to make the design not so costly without losing functionality.

Then we get into the ball of wax called workfare for each of the congressional districts that want a piece of that fat pie as well...

There may be more but I think thats enough to chew on.....
