Where a convention is held is decided by the steering committee. They meet in person at the convention, and receive proposals to host a convention. But the decision is made via conference call. At least that's what I learned when I made such an offer several years ago; I can only assume it's the same now. Last year the location was announced in an MDRS report, January 7. Then a call for papers for the convention on January 11. Can you wait until after New Year?
