Re: Solaser mantle water extraction...

Did you see the post I made a few months ago about Baxter mines?

Re: Solaser mantle water extraction...

Rusakov,

Oh, yes, I saw it before, sorry.

Baxter well. OK. But what better well driller then column of light?

If the spot on lunar surface is only 100m wide and it chews in on 1000km depth ... the majority of the energy will stay confined into the planetary body, boosting outgasing from greater volumes, artificial volcanism, etc.

Lets make some calculations together, ah?

Re: Solaser mantle water extraction...

Utilizing solar energy is an interesting idea. Though it might be unwieldy considering that the moon is rotating.

Re: Solaser mantle water extraction...

<<< By one estimate, the Tharsis bulge contains around 300 million km3 of igneous material. Assuming the magma that formed Tharsis contained carbon dioxide (CO2) and water vapor in percentages comparable to that observed in Hawaiian basaltic lava, then the total amount of gases released from Tharsis magmas could have produced a 1.5-bar CO2 atmosphere and a global layer of water 120 m thick.>>>

Solarser-drilling of similar magnitude could sqweeze similar amounts of gases and water from the planetary guts.

Perhaps this is the way to get volatilized ( comparativelly ) closely orbiting to the central gravitar-fusor ( star ) planemos ( PLANEtary Mass Objects ), in the stellar systems, undergoing humanization:

Just spread statite solaser "umbrella" very close before the face of the local sun, and drill the bodies similar to our Mars, ( Venus? ), Mercury, Moon until they belch/vomit/puke/regurgitate/disgorge ... 1-2 bars of atmo and 0.1-1km of hydro..?
