I'm planning to buy book "Case for Mars" and I see that there are 1997 and 2011 editions and I was wondering is the difference between editions only in new foreword or the book was it updated in other chapters as well? Anyone knows?

A new edition - I couldn't get it at a major London bookshop back in 2009, and that surprised me.

actually - I do feel we are in a post-Zubrin era, even though he had plenty of good ideas. I think we are now in the Musk era of the human to Mars effort. I hope and trust it is the final era before we begin the story of men and women on Mars.
I guess it went Von Braun, Mars underground, Zubrin, Musk historically.

Lobster, latest edition is probably best, I don't have it, but I know the First Touchstone Edition had an addendum about the Mars Meteorites.

Ok thanks for the reply. Well yeah I was thinking that latest edition is the best it's just that from what I found out is that ebooks are still 1997 version and if you want to buy 2011 edition you have to buy paperback which is more expensive and so on.
