How about giant Hamster Balls for transportation on Mars? The interior would be pressurized (obviously) and astronauts could then roll around Mars.

Plus: Power generation from people excersising in low-g?

Yes, I;d thought about that. It could be quite heavy if pressurised.  But it would be quite  nice way to explore if you had no space suit on. Watch out for the precipice though!
