Re: general things to say.

First, I would like to suggest some sort of conversation thing on the side.  I've seen it before, and it was very useful.  Basically, it's a shoutout box, it's aways there, and you can have public ie- everyone looking at the site can see them- conversations.  its rectangular, about 150 by 1000 pixels ( downwards in my experience.

Also, could I request that me and someone else (no point really, maybe just to 'check my power') be made mod of one of the subsections of the "Earth" section? (the whole section wouldn't be a problem either, there have been 2 posts there in the last month.)

Third, I would just like to reiterate that I would gladly help with anytthing that needs to be done.  Does trawling through the old posts for wiki info sound like a good idea?

Re: general things to say.

Well, I was thinking a while ago that some of the conversations here should be documented. There are a few good ideas that come up!

Aren't they documented already? That's what this forum does. If there are "a few good ideas" feel free to say so in the topic where they were mentioned and the discussion can continue.

Re: general things to say.

I was talking about documenting them in a more formal manner.

There have been ideas regarding transportation on Mars and several on food supply. I know there are more, but I’ll use them as an example.

If someone where to congeal them into a formal report, then discussions anew, the "idea" could be formalized into "plan"

Re: general things to say.

On the main page of the forum somewhere, there should be a link to the wiki.  Maybe where it has a link to 'the newmars forum index' on 'the newmars forum index' big_smile

Just a suggestion

There used to be one, somehow it got lost in the last upgrade. There's a link on the New Mars wiki page back to the forums.

Re: general things to say.

This is minor, but the usergroup forums aren not being used.  Maybe they could be moved closer to the top?

Re: general things to say.

I think someone should Watch the ID vs. Creationism thread in the Sci/Tech forum.  That kind of thing has a tendency to get out of hand.

Re: general things to say.

Firstly: It's not Intelligent Design vs Creationism. It (was) Intelligent Design vs Darwinism.

Secondly: You and zhar2 are the ones who made it go out of hand.

Re: general things to say.

First: No you weren't, you were just slagging off ID without refuting it's arguments.

Second: This isn't the thread to be talking about it.

C'mon i gave tons of evidence while you gave weak half concocted arguments, if you dont understand something or dont have any insight beyond high school science then dont bother to dispute it.

And yeah i was winning.
