Re: clark for President? - Its not the same guy, right?

Nor is he a general, at least to my knowledge.

Rather more seriously, this website offers an interesting take on fund raising. They have a link to "space policy" however it is currently empty.

I had a really good laugh when I saw this threads topic header.

It will be interesting to see what comes of this.

Yes, I'm actually a retired General who might be running for President...  ???   tongue

We have a whole system of laws and procedures, all designed to prevent someone like me, from being someone like that.

I dunno, but I agree with the sentiment that those who lead are those least suited to do it... smile

"Can't" as in I am not able to, and "Can't" as in I am not allowed to.

"Why?"

I didn't make the rules.

Re: clark for President? - Its not the same guy, right?

Not everyone is allowed run for the office, and not everyone who can, meets the requirements to hold office.

An example would be former President Clinton. He has served two terms as President, so he is no longer allowed to run for the office. He could theoritcally hold the office though if he were elected Vice President, and then something happened to the President.

Another example would be Arnold Swartzenager (sp?). He is contemplating running for Govenor of California, and he is married to a Kennedy. However, he could not hold the office of the President becuase he is not a native born US citizen. He could theoritcally run, but it would take an act of Congress to allow him to hold office if he did win. (Naturalized Immigrants who are full citizens cannot be President)
