Perhaps some water carved caves even.

If they don't find life and the planet is terraformed, I believe that even a median surface pressure of 11 mb may be sufficient for the system to perhaps be reactivated to some degree.  Apparently if it is true about that under ice lake at/near the south pole, some of it may exist at this time.
