OK, I will get taint on me, and nobody here will love me anymore (Or any less ) Still I have recently read that this so called cold fusion is actually a effect of re-configuring Quarks, not atoms.

This would be another power source left over from the presumed big bang.

It would be nice to do it on a large scale, under control, but there is a deficiency of evidence in the form of repeatable experiments. Apart from muon catalysed fusion which you could do in your garage- The problem with the latter is getting and controlling muons.

There are 101 theories as to what LENR may be (if it exists)! But the people who put them forward include some very serious and prestigious physicists. So I don't see why anyone should feel embarrassed about following the subject.

Sorry Spacenut but sometimes it takes a lot of time to find the right fit! Also, sometimes I think the news is too important to put under a very general heading that people might ignore - this one being a case in point.

The technology is from US Navy SPAWAR (Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command), or LENR and is the listed inventor of this patent for a “Hybrid Fast Fusion Fission Reactor” with the agreement January 2018 with a project milestones run through the end of 2020.
