Re: Original Percival Lowell Mars book for sale! - 'Mars', 1895, 4th impression

I received an email from Jim Stryder a couple of days ago telling me about a Lowell book he had for sale. I said that I'd pass the info along. I quote:

I am sending you some information on a Mars book. This book, titled; Mars, by Percival Lowell, is an 1895, (107 year old), fourth impression printing! It is in excellent condition, all 228 pgs. It also includes Lowell's famous line-drawings of the so-called "Canals", which prior to the turn of the century, were thought to be signs of a civilization of the red planet!

I am seeking a buyer for this publication.

If you know of anyone who may be interested - please let me know, and or you may forward this freely! This item would make a terrific X-Mas gift, especially for the serious amateur astronomer, or someone with grandkids, interested in passing this along. Truly a "Rare" find, and a piece of the early exploration of the solar system!

I am sending you a web-site listing, from an astronomical supplier, that includes reference on collectable(s), and other related astronomy hardware - the price shown ($250.00) in U.S. Dollars would be in the neighborhood of what this volume is worth!

Once into the site, simply scroll-down til you come to the "Collectable" area. Thank you.

If you're interested, email Jim at rjusa@acsol.net. His website is http://www.mesa.k12.co.us/sithok.
