in lieu of sir Branson's last weeks announcement, of the earth challenge, i'd like to get a team together, form the space community and enter the challenge.
this contest is for glory and more importantly creditability. the initial 20% of the prize up front is going to go towards building such said CO2 processing plant, and if there is any money left over, it will be divided up among the team.

The ocean has a process for removing carbon from the atmosphere. It results in the production of carbonates on the ocean floor. I am not sure of the exact details of the process. That said I am not sure it is necessary because I am not sure a degree rise in the temperature in the temperature over a centenary is a bad thing. Historically humans have done better in warmer times.

Sure, why not use he money to fund space exploration? How about this, CO2 has a density that is from the other gasses in that atmosphere, so in a centrifuge the gasses would pile up from densiest to least dense. Suck up the CO2 and pump it into and aqufier or something. Not sure how efficent that would be though.

Now look at the 1930s temperatures on the graphs used to illustrate global warming. You won't see any indication of a hot period.  It makes one wonder if history is being rewritten.

Oh, sure, but you still get the prize money even if global warming doesn't turn out to be so dire as we thought. You have to admit that the weather has been pretty eratic lately, even if not too much warmer.

Hello m1omg and welcome to NewMars

nickname was joking in a synical manner about the global warming effect it would have on his Canadian climate.

Sorry to here that the sentiment of "AMERICANS HAVE NO EMPATHY" from so far away and that it is so abundent. For this American can feel the pain of these effects having been through the torrential down pouring of continous rain fall that has caused flooding to occur 2 years in a row. This has been followed by scorching heat in the early part of our summer.
