*The occultation occurs tomorrow, June 16.
But tonight (June 15) Luna and Jupiter will appear very close; less than 1 degree apart. Look towards the south after twilight. I've been watching the progression of the Moon across Leo, and of course it's heading right "for" Jupiter.

*Yep, is Luna...in full daylight. The tiny, ghostly orb above and slightly to the right is Jupiter. I am amazed that Jupiter can be seen in the full light of day (via unaided eye), but recently it was -- orbitally speaking -- the closest to Earth it ever gets, and has been especially bright lately.
