. . . and nobody criticizes the bible, or, the bible is socially/politically uncriticizable - amazing.

Peer review is only as good as the peers. The catastophists had a devil of a time with the uniformitarianists.
Even sounds like a denomination...

if you can make technology out of it, there must be something to it; if a peer review claims the science that created a technology is false . . . they'd better have a damned good reason!
I remember some guy coming up to me and telling me how these oregon researchers had peer reviewed confirmation of some psychic technology . . . so . . . why are they not taking over the world with this amazing technology?! Because they are all bullshiters!

as for global warming, there was a recent news item in the halls of science where researchers took a picture of clouds in the antarctic; they've never seen clouds there before . . . more, my father went up to alaska for vacation and said his cruise boat checked out a glacier up there; he said it was like boom, boom, boom every five minutes or so; i've got the "Planet Earth" series, and it has researchers climbing the edges of a glacier; it was not going boom, boom, boom, every five minutes, or they wouldn't have been climbing on the edges of that glacier, and this one was not in alaska or similar latitudes.

The whole Global Warming thing is little more that politition selling snake oil. We know that the Earth is going to warm and cool, with or without our help. The question is not how do we stop it, enless you intend to terraform the planet, but how do we learn to live with it.
"Yes, I was going to give this astronaut selection my best shot, I was determined when the NASA proctologist looked up my ass, he would see pipes so dazzling he would ask the nurse to get his sunglasses."

No, don't worry. There was some danger for a while, but the green left's attempt to hijack science for political purposes has been shut down. Of course, the price of scientific freedom is eternal vigilance.

yea, adjust off the planet.
I understand that the earth has gone through much worse than humanity can put it through(untill humanity destroys itself), but, at what cost? You can't tell me that we don't put greenhouse gases up in the air, and bulldoze over the rainforests at which point we loose who knows what life.
So, how hot and wild do you want it if you just think you'll just move somewhere else?

If we can change the climate one way, we can change it back.
