Re: O'Keefe leaves NASA - Richard C. Hoagland to take over ....

May seem like a 'pipe dream' some, but with the clock ticking ...

Following was posted over at the BBS for Richard C.Hoagland and his The Enterprise Mission.  Time for coalition politics regarding momentum in space exploration may have come;
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>&g

It may be a long shot. It may be tilting at windmills. But;
"Carpe' diem ... Carpe' Ares"!

This is text of the one I just sent to Noory at C2C;

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
George,
Caught the tail end of Richard C. Hoagland's call-in during "open lines" last night where he expressed strong interest and desire to replace Sean O'Keefe as head of NASA.
YES! YES! YES!
If ever there was one from outside the Beltway Politicos best suited to head NASA, than Richard is that person! With O'Keefe's replacement slatted to be announced on Thursday, timing is very critical and the moment is now!
You must get Richard back on your show tonight to announce and expand upon his candidancy and to get rolling one of those "faxes, calls,e-mails, and letters" to the White House campaigns to take a shoot at making this happen.
Richard would be the sort of leader of NASA who could re-ignite public support for space exploration and help give our nation a direction of hope and promise in this new century that lifts our eyes to the stars and beyond.
"WE" can't let this slim window of opportunity slip by. Please call him and get him on the air. We need to galvanize your audience to get a groundswell started. We haven't a chance unless we try ~ We won't know if we don't go ....
G David Bock
Now I need to spread this word to other boards and craft a message to the White House.
Let's make it so!
:hm: Yeah... Hoagland... Humans to Mars ASAP for...? The usual Hoagland "baggage" applies.
I can think of no surer way to utterly destroy any hope for humans on Mars within our lifetime.
Had meant to include this with the openning post;
As for Hoagland, those who know of him have widely ranging opinions/assessments.  He's a well known guest on late-nite radio;
Richard C. Hoagland is another former NASA person like guy that started this forum. He has his own favor to him and has his own opinions as to what NASA should be doing. He also has his own opinion as to how the solar system came to be. He believe in the tidal module of how Mars was created. He believe that Mars was originally a Moon of a now extinct planet that blew up. Matter of fact he believe that there were two planets and the other one being where the asteroid field is right now. He believe that those two planets tore each other apart which through Mars into an elongated orbit with tidal feature on Mars and that that is why Mars has a bulge. Richard C. Hoagland has also been know to circulate through UFO's Conferences too. People seam to either like him or think he just a nut case, but there doesn't seam to be too many people in between. The person that posted this stuff put his web site out there so you can check him out. Sometime he a little radical even for me, but his site is interesting to look at though. He does bring up different ideas, but I'm personally neutral as to having him over NASA though.
That a brief view of who Richard C. Hoagland  is.
Larry,
Re: O'Keefe leaves NASA - Richard C. Hoagland to take over ....
I caught O"Keefe giving a fond farewell speech recently and he gave himself credit for bringing the Hubble situation out in the open sooner rather than later.
As I recall it, he was adamantly against Hubble's final servicing and he would thump thump thump on his lectern to make his position clear. There would be no 'sooner or later.'
