In the Indian Sub Continent an old religion of over a Billion people and a very confusion way of life, it looks like a weird Beatles LSD Mushroom trip a guy who looks like an Elephant and eternal traditions. Perhaps it has no single founder, the Vedic period were Vedas composed in Sanskrit. It could be 4000 years old or 6,000 years old nobody is really sure but it is probably the oldest religion of them all. There might be Polytheism and a Pantheon of Gods but there is also described at times 'One God' there is Shiva and Vishnu, it might be Monotheism it might not be. It can be said to be a less 'dogmatic' religion many ideas like Astrology, there is Dharma proper good behavior causing the Universe to Balance, Hindus might seek one true or one truth of reality. There is an idea of an Immortal Soul Atman, a reincarnation or Transmigration, or a belief Brahaman Universe Material Mega God Ocean Soul also 'Karma' and 'Vedas', time is a cycle with no beginning and no end and something about going from unreal to real or 'Mohskha' and bad morality leads to the destruction of reality or Kali Yuga? There is a Caste System and series of Social Classes, Priests, Nobles, Commoners and Slave like Servant or Lower and Lowest Castes and Lower of the Lowest of the Low the 'Untouchables'. If something bad happens to you well maybe you or your family did something bad in a previous life.

Evangelicals express a sort of “space pessimism.” This means that evangelicals hold higher expectations that an asteroid will hit the Earth during the next four decades, but lower expectations of the discovery of life away from Earth over the same period. In perhaps the most interesting finding on expectation, evangelicals are surer that Jesus will return to Earth before mid-century than they are about any of four space events occurring: an asteroid hitting Earth, scientists finding evidence of life elsewhere, ordinary people traveling to space, or astronauts landing on Mars.
In an interesting twist, support of one’s clergy member(s) for science makes a significant difference among this most skeptical religious group. If an evangelical’s pastor speaks negatively about science, the probability of agreeing with the statement “space exploration does more good than harm” is 47 percent. When a pastor speaks positively, the probability is 97 percent. While I do not remember ever hearing a sermon on space from the pulpit of my churches, the findings indicate a clear opportunity for inroads in both the understanding of space science and the support of space exploration.

There was also a lot of recent anger directed at Churches fueled by words from Justin Trudeau which to get politically involved when Canada said it has found 751 unmarked graves at the site of a former residential school.
