Re: Battling Misinformation - Ex. "moon conspiracy"

We can only be so effective if we limit are arguments to this form. I create this thread to identify discussions on other forms containing miss information about space. We can then follow those links and help educate the misguided. My first link is to a discussion about did we land on the moon. I expect many more links to follow.

Re: Battling Misinformation - Ex. "moon conspiracy"

Hmmm... laudable effort, but will it be effective? Badastronomy.com has been doing this for years, with a very good messageboard, to boot. Still the conspiricists keep coming...

Also EverythingSpace, now everythingScience IIRC, started by disgruntled Space.com forumsvisitors,  had their own BozoSquad: boldly going to outer forums to debunk the pseudosciene dribble...

So... Lots of like-minded people working hard on it.
I suggest you visit badastronomy's boards, they're great. but watch out: it's  *very* tightly controlled for abuse, talking nonsense etc. three warnings and you're out.
