The Mantra of the Righteous

It’s not the Solution that Drives Us
It’s the Battle to win we Must
A world of Chaos Needs Answers
An Evil for us to conquer and Master
Shale bombs bring freedom
A Stones though and we’re done
Tare down the walls that define us
Burn down the cities that remind us
Of the tyranny the binds
Of the authority the blinds
To anarchy we cheer
To the old order we jeer
Gods hand will lead us
Though fire we trust
To the end we must
The solution is just

edit: Hmmm….I haven’t got any comments back on this poem. Take it as a little bit of sarcasm. I am not sure how it came across.

Unnatural Homeopathy

Barren Rock, more natural the grass
Overtaken by roots, and leaves
The waste of the conquering trees
Covered, forsaken by organic trash

The natural way is too the ground
The fire burnt out the ashes returned
To dust becomes of passions which burned
The cycle of life is not profound

The laws of nature are unforgiving
Life is unnatural
And not perpetual
To believe otherwise is misgiving

Unpasteurized Milk can make us sick
While poison ivory makes us ich
And pretty lupids kill no trick
A snake plants oil can make a con man rich

To believe we found the way
To live superior and say
We have life figured out
The answers we know without a doubt

eat this and it will make us well
Stay away from medicines unnatural spells
That filtered air we breath
Kills the germs we need
The death of nature I greave

To live natural is to die
The pardox of the homothetic lie
On a rocks thin crust in a desert black
Nature is death Unnatural is our track

Where shores unseen wait in the pale

True star guide with slivered Moon

Midnight burn with heavenly tune

On ships of metal, men and hope
Through depths unmeasured towards her coast,
“A dream no more through telescope!”
On waiting shores of Mars we toast.

Journey seen through these dreaming eyes,

In a cell can a man be free

The Second Causality is Free Speech

The enemy must always be wrong
To say otherwise shall mean you’re gone
To decent only justifies the evil
Of the senseless acts of the barbaric upheaval

Their wrong makes us right
The times must change
for us to win the fight

the underline cause is their deranged
round up those who speak against our norms
if they are ours lock them up
otherwise we shall ship them home

all for the desperate hope of a painless life
a cold biases brewed from seeing pain
need not sensationalize when we know the widows name

A One Two Rhythm

I like 2 you like 1
Together we shall become

I don't really know how I come up with any of this. It is usually like a voice speaking a line in my head, or some imagined imagery that floats there.

I’ve been bugging my friend Bob Cunningham (87) for some time now to produce a poem more in keeping with the motivations which drive the Mars Society than his normal output—which deals with nature in general, or comprises insulting doggerel directed at his morning coffee-drinking buddies down at Joe’s Food Emporium … and here (at last!) is the result:

ADEN*

Each morning at dawn
Gaze into the East,
Several moments at least
And study the morn.
With warm thoughts or cold
Will ADEN unfold
As the new day is born?

And what of old ADEN?
What can she teach us?
Are all her vast reaches
With dull minds down-laden?
Do her worlds need Earth genes,
Or what other means
To renew the old maiden?

Search at first light
And be the one who finds
The glow of bright minds
Or the darkness of night.
Is there inquisitive thought
Or is ADEN fraught
With mind-numbing blight?

Will Earthmen ere know
If from ADEN minds gaze
With intent to raise
On Earth a warm glow?
Then our world may awake
And Terrans take
The leap to OUTFLOW.

*Pondering names for The Big Bang: The Great Outflow, Our Universe, All Distally Expanding Nature (ADEN).
