Thanks, now, there is in southern France an experimental virtual nuclear weapons test lab build with technological exchanges with US Army, mainly in high power lasers. We share the results with US army. Remember that in spite of huge political divergencies with Bush administration, we are USA allies. If we could have really vetoed war at Irak, that would have been the best service made to USA, and to the thousands of US families who's son returned or will return home in a coffin.

I played rugby when I was at university, and had great admiration for the Aussies and the Blacks. After struggle on playground, is the "verre de l'amitié"...
If I was to emigrate, Sidney would be my choice as a place to leave in.

I think that war at terrorists is a shadow and mute war that must be led by efficient secret services that should infiltrate the terrorists networks and silently eliminate their leaders with no "tambours et trompetttes". Nothing spectacular like heavy army offensives with so many civilian casualties that lead more and more people to hate westerners and those people will protect or join the terrorists. This war must be surgical. It can be led only if local populations support it and naturally come to tell where the terrorists are.
You can destroy an ant nest only when you can eliminate the queens. You can measure the "war at terror" inefficiency when OBL still runs years after Aghanistan invasion.
If there was to be a bombing raid over Iranian uranium enrichment plants, I would support it. A direct war at Iran would have as a result a nationalist rise against invaders and millions of people to fight and kill.

Sure there have been wars at Muslims from Christians in southern and oriental Europe against muslim expansion, then with crusades in middle east, but if Christians submitted, the Muslims would let them live and practice their own religion.
The muslim domination in Spain led to one of the brightest period of the history of Spain, when people of all Europe came to spanish arab universities to study medecine, astronomy and mathematics.
For centuries, there have been Synagogues in the main arab cities, Alexandria, Cairo, Bagdad, Damascus, Algiers, Rabat.
Lot of Jews lived there peacefully.
When the Jews where told by Christians to leave Spain, or to convert or die, many of them found a place to settle in Arab countries, mainly Morocco and Algeria, where Jews did'nt suffer racism and ostracism as in Europe.
Therefore, the violence of 1948 zionist settlement has been seen by all arabs as a treason.
The fact is that zionists came from northern Europe, mainly Germany and poland, and didn't knew anything about the Arabs.
And when Israel was founded, many Jews from middle-east arab cities were rewarded by Israel to come and settle.
Most of them are Labour and against Sharon, and many of them are regretful of the past time they lived in peace with the Arabs.
I must add that I have visited Israel as well as some arab countries, and I'm not talking about what I don't know.

All Europe and main allies were in best terms with USA during Clinton mandacy, and majority of arab public opinion did support Clinton's efforts for peace between Israel and Palestinians.
May be the 9/11 attacks wouldn't have taken place if Bush hadn't supported Sharon systematic colonisation and ultraviolent retaliation politic.
When we saw 9/11 attacks, we were crying and were as horrifyed as any NewYorker to see desperate people jumping out the twins for a long fall towards death, and we sent among our best mountain commandos to help chasing Bin Laden.
All the civilized world from Beijing to Paris was with USA by these days.
So, if 70% of Europeans now reject USA, blame Bush.
If south american countries of el Mercosur try to sign free trade agreement with Europe rather than with USA, that's because Bush will to violate non military use of Space treaties shows that this administration care a dim about international treaties and will tear them up at any time.
We are angry at Bush because our arab and our jew communities never had conflicts before Bush and Sharon administrations, now they fear and hate each other.
If there is a rising Euro-Indian-China informal alliance, it is pushed by Bush's administration.
Now it's up to US citizens to decide either to be again the best among the world community of nations or to be regarded as among the the roguest ones.

But I damn Bush for that war in Irak more than ever, not any european nor any american folk would have been endangered that way in Irak under saddam regime as infect he could have been.
He and Blair are accountabable for each of a life lost since they invaded Irak.
Who will dare now tell me the world is safer since Saddam regime has been ousted ?
Who will dare go to Madrid tell the Spanishes the world is safer after Irak invasion ?
Who will dare say to those Iraki parents of children killed by terrorist blastes or american missiles the world is safer than before Saddam ?
Bush and supporters choosed war at Irak instead of the real silent secret war at terrorists that needs full support in Middle East with the help these countries secret services. He spread a chaos nobody knows how to stop it

Well, as the jugement on a war is the winner's point of view, a justified war has to be won, and war is won when it leads to a state of peace.
Knowing that, 1914-1918 war at Germany led to WWII, and wasn't a victory.

About Vietnam, no one, except for General Leclerc who understood vietnamese greed for independance could have avoided a liberation war at France, or any ally, the Viets would have fought with sticks and stones for independance rather than be submitted again to any colonial power.

Ussr air army wasn't as weak as Luftwaffe or Jap's in 1945, and I'm not quite sure that B29s could carry bomb payload as well as fuel to get back home. And as long as Japan was still at war, it would have been a 2 fronts war.

Will you strike a country just because terrorists have a minority support by some extremist wild gangs ?
We should better work on infiltrating terrorists groups, and up to that, getting strong support of the world public opinion is better than be seen as a threat at any country.

As seen in Madrid attacks, terrorism funding relies mainly on drug and mafias traffic whose money goes get washed in fiscal paradises that are supported thanks to westerners multinational trusts that also make big tax free money.
Therefore I think that you are wrong to say that Western has nothing to see with terrorism.
War at terrorism is a empty concept as long as all means aren't used to destroy these wild banking blackboxes in which some of our great leaders and govenors also do hide their money.
