#1 Re: Pictures of Mars » Spirit and Opportunity videos updated » 2006-04-06 06:35:10

I have Updated the Spirit and Opportunity Front Hazcam, and Navcam videos. I'am debating on whether I should start on a Rear Hazcam video from each rover, that would be pretty cool I think.

Spirit 1-794 Front Hazcam: http://marstech.sytes.net/marstechplaye … hazcam.zip
Opportunity 1-773 Front Hazcam: http://marstech.sytes.net/marstechplaye … hazcam.zip
Spirit 524-794 Navcam: http://marstech.sytes.net/marstechplaye … navcam.zip
Opportunity 463-765 Navcam: http://marstech.sytes.net/marstechplaye … navcam.zip

And with Copyright permission from Ecliptic Enterprises, I made a video of Spirit and Opportunity's lanuch from the Kennedy Space Center: http://marstech.sytes.net/marstechplaye … iftoff.zip

the video's are quite big, so you will probably need a fast connection, I am working on smaller, lower quality, dialup versions of these videos I'll release them very soon. You also need Winzip to extract the movie.

Untill these excellent rovers send the last image to Earth, I will keep updating these videos and share them with you what these machines see through their eyes ever day.

Peace Out!!
Enjoy!!

#2 Re: Pictures of Mars » View the very latest Truecolor images from the Rovers » 2006-04-06 06:22:47

I have put together a site that I can post the Very latest, almost Truecolor images from Spirit and Opportunity. These images are work that I have did the best possible, using calibration data from the Calibration target(Sundial) on each rover. However, the images are not perfect you can only get close representations of the color due to the fact that the rovers use color filters to accuire color information at selected wavelengths, and the images have to be manually calibrated.

Here's the link to my Daily Truecolor image database:

I'm working on hundreds more truecolor images from through out the rover missions, and I will release them at the end of the missions.

Peace Out!!
Enjoy!!

Hi!
I'd like to have an off site Remote avatar for my profile, can the administrator of this forum help me out. Once this is done, I'll start posting some cool stuff.

Thanks!
