Study Eyes Influence of Religion on Future Space Exploration

https://www.space.com/27896-religion-in … ation.html

A new study by a political science professor in Ohio has taken a close look at how a person's religous beliefs can influence personal opinions on space exploration.

University of Dayton political science assistant professor, Joshua Ambrosius, used data from the General Social Survey and three Pew surveys to compare knowledge, interest and support for space exploration among Catholics, Evangelicals, Mainline Protestants, Jews, Eastern religions and those with no religion.

His research, "Separation of Church and Space: Religious Influences on Support for Space Exploration Policy" was recently presented at the Society for the Scientific Study of Religion conference in Indianapolis.

Among his findings, Ambrosius found that Evangelicals — who account for one-quarter of the U.S. population — are the least knowledgeable, interested and supportive of space exploration, while Jews and members of Eastern traditions were most attentive and supportive, according to a Univ. of Dayton press statement.

Interstellar religion? How religion shapes views of space exploration
https://religionnews.com/2014/11/12/int … sts-bible/
Religion, it turns out, even shapes how we view the final frontier.

University of Dayton professor Josh Ambrosius has researched the connection between religion and views of space exploration. He used the 2010 General Social Survey, which had a rich set of questions on space and detailed items on religion. Ambrosius presented his research at this year’s SSSR meeting.

Even after taking into account lots of other factors, Ambrosius finds that church attendance

    decreases knowledge about space
    lowers interest in space
makes people more pessimistic about space exploration, and
leads people to believe that there is not life elsewhere in the universe.

On the general question of whether or not space exploration does “more harm than good” for society, there were not large differences between those who went to church and those who didn’t. However, belief that evolution is true is correlated with the belief that space exploration is good for society.

Tucker also went on Rogan blabbing about UFO

Joe Rogan has been doing the conspiracy thing a while 'Questions Everything' was SyFy's most watched reality premiere in more than five months, averaging 1.3 million total viewers, the show was cancelled after 6 episodes and they 'investigated' claims about paranormal and mysterious subjects like Bigfoot, psychic ability and UFOs.

video platform Rumble offered Rogan $100 million to switch from Spotify

the commentator, podcaster, comedian, actor, and former television host can come out with some really wacko stuff but he sometimes can have ok guest say something worthwhile and his social media videos are massively popular online.

Re: 500 Attend 2017 Flat Earth International Conference

Year 2024 'Flat Earth' in the West is stronger than it has ever been?

People Are Confused Why Flying Against The Earth's Rotation Doesn't Speed Up Flights
https://www.iflscience.com/people-are-c … ghts-74030

How crazy can things go? Could a 'Flat Earth' party run for election for example? In the USA 'The Know-Nothing Party' was a U.S. political party in the 1850s,  it became the main alternative to the dominant Democratic Party, in the end party declined rapidly it did seem to have any true position or know anything and took no position while the Anti-Slavery movement grew they sent radical ideas across the USA but by the 1860 election they were no longer a serious.

Anjem Chaudary calls for the abolition of secular democracy and the implementation of Islamic Sharia law in the United Kingdom. The implementation of Sharia will be facilitated by Muslims attaining “positions of power and authority” in Britain, he says.

Eric Dubay is social media channel that covers a wide range of topics, from all kinds of conspiracy and 'flat earth'

Flat Earth-curious Lukáš Machala might be appointed head of the planned state broadcaster.

Twenty-five centuries after Greek philosophers first theorised that the Earth is not flat, five centuries after Iberian explorers demonstrated that it is, indeed, a globe, and more than fifty years since innumerable spacecraft began taking photographs and video of the planet on which we live, Machala was asked by journalist Peter Žatko, in the television programme, “Reportéri” (Reporters), on April 29, whether people who believe that the Earth is flat should be given a platform on the current public broadcaster, RTVS.

Machala said they should – and went on to ponder how much any of us, really, knows

Travis Kelce makes shock flat earth claim, saying '10-15 players in EVERY NFL locker room' believe the conspiracy theory - and jokes concussions are to blame
https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/nfl/a … ssion.html

It would be interesting to truly see why people believe in 'Flat Earth' is it a religion thing, a unique 'American' thing or is it happening in Canada and Mexico also, does Flat Earther cult spread in Africa and Asia, maybe in other countries people are just trying to survive and too busy and poor to bother with silly questions. Are they conspiracy people who lost trust in government and are duped? a type of naive personality that is easily cheated, no critical thinking and quick to believe something that is not true. Is it due to changes in their brain from drug use?

Branimir Nestorović a Serb conspiracy theorist a university professor serving as the member of the National Assembly, he has talked of a Flash Grodon Star Wars Star Trek style Tesla's death ray in Iraq and Serbia, and existence of "time portals" which send people to the future.
Some tone deaf rapper Bobby Ray Simmons Jr.  known professionally as B.o.B,  "Flatline" was a 'diss song' aimed at Neil DeGrasse Tyson
Bryce Mitchell an American professional mixed martial artist, also Joe Rogan's friend Eddie Bravo a martial artist who does drugs.
"Alfio" Basile nicknamed Coco, is an Argentine football manager and former player.
Frank S Cherry who was the founder and leader of one of the early Black Hebrew Israelite
"Steph" Carpenter an American musician, known as the co-founder and lead guitarist of the alternative metal band Deftones

If you took a survey of Hindu, Christian, the types of Jihadi Sharia Law moslem islamics, the Shinto, Buddhist, Pagan Voodoo faiths and Atheists how many would believe 'Conspiracy' a survey which included Catholics, evangelical Protestants, mainline Protestants, Jews, followers of Eastern religions, and those who say 'agnostic' or no religion?

Flat Earthers: Belief, Skepticism, and Denialism
https://www.psychologytoday.com/us/blog … -denialism
When people reject facts, what do they really believe?

The Flat Earth nonsense I don't think Joe Rogan believes that 'Flat Earth' stuff but he has supported very incorrect wacky ideas, abuse of Alcohol and use Marijuana or Cannabis drug affects the behavior and logic in the brain. Joe Rogan hangs around with a lot of these Hollywood type conspiracy people who buy into some silly idea, and its not that everything conspiracy is wrong either, the KGB does kill people, Drug money is used to rig elections in Latin America, government poisoned alcohol to keep people from drinking, Mrs. Wilson was effectively president, spooky political military gangsters faked the Gulf of Tonkin incident, the War in Iraq was a lie, MK-ultra happened, military issued meds Mefloquine caused behavior issues, Epstein island is real...a number of 'conspiracy' did truly happen so it adds to mistrust in government and people think all conspiracy are real. It seems Joe Rogan got a sports injury and started to alter his mind and self-medicate after, so he's around that circle of people. Joe Rogan meets potheads, a friend of his buys something from the snake oil salesman and rather than admit they have been sold a lie duped they pass on this 'cult' or bad hypothesis philosophical 'theory' to somebody else thus expanding the cult. The snakeoil hypothesis theory which also expands by tv or social media. Abuse of alcohol and drugs has spread in the West, perhaps one of the reasons drug use has not spread into parts of Asia is the remember how drugs destroyed their countries, the British and French imperialist authorities and the Opium Wars,  Qing and ultimately saw the dynasty toppled. In Europe and the USA drugs openly flow, drugs and people and guns openly flowing trafficked from Mexico, they try to legalize stuff to fix law and order and cannabis marijuana is one of the most used drugs in the United States today. When Space-X Elon Musk went on Joe Rogan and was seen smoking something investors spoke out and the federal government got involved, Elon Musk had to be drug tested for a whole year after going on 'Joe Rogan'.
