So I'm catching up with Italian politics and I just don't get it, its something I can never understand, it seems like a version of the 'Rightwing' will win but its like a Contest of the Right and some more crazy and nutty than others, there's a newish guy, a blonde woman, an old media mogul talking and who knows maybe even a Pornography Star or Alessandra Mussolini the granddaughter of Benito Mussolini might be running for election? Populist, anti-establishment plus another party anti-EU populist nationalist, a new Conservative party, rightwing, nationalist and Christian democratic, vs populist, eurosceptic and anti-immigration....the Covid lockdowns, economic recession, War in Eastern Europe probably has not helped, the Left or Socialists seem done for now.

I have watched some tv food shows on a rare occasion, Cheftainer, the Celebrity chef, there was a British one where I almost expected people to have good manners but they were terrible and openly mocked and trashed each other's cooking to win some show and give everyone else negative points, Come Dine with Me is a British reality tv series, like all shows with ratings the program was remade for other tv audiences other tv channels started to copy the broadcast formual 'Dinner Takes All' by TLC, La divina comida on Chile Spanish tv, Come Dine with Me South Africa.

I'm not sure what I would gain by inviting a bunch of strangers I never had any real connection to. I think I would invite all of my dead relatives, if only to see them again one last time, for my grandparents to see the grandchildren some of them never had the opportunity to meet in life, to tell them how the world has changed since they've been gone, and to ask them what they wished I knew about them that I never did. I guess my dinner party would be a trip down memory lane.
