I have been thinking about other aspects of sunlight than the issue of UV light and Vitamin C.
The primary issue is exposure and wavelength.
Entangled in this are pigment, clothing, and habits/requirements.
These not only affect the UV issue but body heat, and Red Light and Infared light exposure.
I am looking at how people avoid overheating and how avoidance of sunlight may reduce the amount of Red and Infared light a person gets.
The Farmers who developed the lighter skin and then brought it to Europe. What were there habits as per sun avoidance?
The northern peoples, what were them habits?

A point being that over thousands of years with episodes of microbial induced illnesses, a tiny factor could determine who survives at a higher rate.
Intertwined with this are the social forces of government and criminal intentions, conscious or not.
1) For instance, some social organizations illegal or legal, may seek to exploit the male sex drive and the male war impulse.
2) Similarly similar forces may seek to exploit female beauty competitiveness and birthing instincts.
1) Governments often want to use boys and men as war materials. And more often it is not government entities but other entities that want to hold the satisfaction of the male sex drive hostage to wring money out of the social fabric.
2) The female being encouraged to spend resources to appear competitive per standards that are partially based on male desire, but I think on the advice of my mother in the deep past, women also compete with other women for the ability to display beauty and status. The governments have an interest in encouraging childbirth as it makes more child bearers and more boys and men to use as war materials.
Clothing and Presentation have effects on both #1 and #2. And those social manipulations per Clothing and Presentation, affect the number of types and amounts of sunlight that a person will absorb in their body. That will affect health of the body and likely mental health, and fitness.
So, lightening of skin may not only be in concerns of UV but also for visible light overheating, and for Red and Infared light access in the presence of clothing.
Villages and cultures around who can expose their body to sunlight may affect the fitness of individuals. Large communities may be the incubators for disease, and the nature of sunlight exposure may affect individual fitness and the survival of genes that are prone to variation.

I somewhat permit consideration of "Out of Africa". However, my reservations are that that concept relates to the contest between the 1) singular superior kind which displaces the inferior, and 2) The idea that massive mixing can produce a superior kind without selection.
Instead, I entertain the idea that mixing followed by testing for adaptive ability may cause other be displaced.
#1, exists in the NAZI camp.
#2, supposedly was considered by America at least partially.
#1, was a NAZI like concept that held that a superior line emerged without borrowing genes from other lines. Then replaced "Inferior" people.
#2, I feel has potential, but without a contest, will not cause anything to emerge. Suppose one group was verbally good, and another was mathematically good. You could have the outcome where the children were good at neither, and the outcome that children were good at both, or Children could still only be good at one of the things. To arrive at win, the children would need to live in an environment where being good at both verbal skills and math was an advantage.

I ran into a video recently that described how the NAZI and American handling of Typhus was different. The NAZI used Steamers to kill lice. The troops would have to have their cloths steamed while they stood naked. The Americans apparently had created a Vaccine for Typhus that was at least partially successful in results. They also used DDT, which could be sprayed down the clothing of the people to be protected. The video claimed that the Germans could not figure out how the Americans were being protected. When the advance into Russia fell apart, then the Steamers failed or were lost, and a great deal of harm came to the retreating Germans from that.
So, it was not just Soviet harm but lice that were allied to American interests.

Now, I have put up with the common dialog that sexuality is natural in several directions. Apparently from genetics we might suppose. Well I can entertain that, as some part of what may be real.
But I feel that imprinting is also very important. Some men are imprinted on women's clothing for instance. I get my ideas from a book I used to have, called "The Evolution of Human Sexuality". The point here is that imprinting occurs even at baby stages. Now you may wonder why the birth rate is down. Well, the globalists want it to go down, but we may wonder what is the difference between the imprinting that young children get now and what it was like in previous eras? Honestly, I am not sure.
But I think for instance it may have something to do with making girls allergic to men. You really need to think more. Exposure at a young age may adapt a person to something that might make them to it later with no prior exposure.
What about a culture that has strong separation between genders, and has extensive dress codes for each gender?
Islam does not have to worry about children allergic to the other gender, as girls are mandated to get married and have children if they like it or not. Boys are exposed to females though so they may be more properly imprinted than are the girls. Even if many might turn out to be Homosexual due to improper imprinting, the dominant males are going to have multiple wives, in many cases.
So, now you may understand the competition that we in the West and the East Asians are against. (Perhaps some parts of various other locations in the world).
It appears that at this time many archaic cultures cannot treat intellectuals with sufficient respect. So, they migrate to us.
I recall an astronaut describing a sea creature that had a brain when it was young and a swimmer. But when it attached itself to something like a stone in it later life, it eats its brains, as it does not need them anymore.
A mistake that can be made is to ascribe all the faults of Islam to the religion itself. But as I recall in areas where Muslims do mutilations to girls, Christians, and Jews tended to do it as well. So, these are archaic societies which depend on repetition of historic behaviors and do not rely on intellectual exploration of truth.
It is good to know the nature of your environment. They are part of our environment.
