So! Here is my idea!
We are thinking of the Moon as a collector of He3 atoms produced by the Sun.
The Moon has been playing that role for a long time, so there would appear to be a harvest to be collected, in the manner described in Post #50. However, the Sun is producing He3 all the time, and it will continue doing so for a while.
My idea / suggestion is to collect He3 atoms in flight from the Sun.
I have no idea what would be involved, and even less of an idea if it is practical, but since you reminded us that the Moon has been collecting He3 for some time, it occurred to me to wonder if we could cut out the middle man and simply collect He3 atoms in flight.
