My own diagnosis is that we do not want the "Dominant Man", we prefer the "Capable Man".  My view is that the evil "Dominant Man" is greatly represented in the very old worlds, including the Middle East.  It is a process where the brains have been eaten, and domination is regarded as good, and Christianity is regarded as stupid.  Some of these evil forces ride though the corps of the previous empires, to pollute our parts of the world.  So, you don't misunderstand me, I believe that many from those places who may have talents come here and are useful, but many more only come to bring brain death to us.  They killed the Muslim civilization around the 13th century.

That is not necessarily what other people believe in the post #2857, but it is my current theory.

This is not a moment where I need to convert you to such a political diagnosis, I recognize that that is not likely to be useful for you, and I don't need you to.  It could even be dangerous for you if you offended some high demon of power (A human).

America should not be facilitating that for the Roman Church, if that is what is happening.  The Church should not have the powers of Ceasar.

The entrance of the USA into WWII seems to have been for worthy but sad reasons, but now the use of the aftermath of that to do things that are not at all related to ending criminal governance, is very wrong, and I deeply resent that our nation was deceived and taken captive by certain powers.  And now we want release from that.

As for post #2858:  The demons are trying to use "Dominant Man" methods to have unearned power, and they are violating our culture and constitution.  It is glorious to see America fighting off the evil demonic zombies from other lands, and those of our own as well.

Something I want to mention is surface salinity of such a reservoir.  Salt in water reduces evaporation, so if you have brine at perhaps -2 degrees C, that will absorb water from the air much better than would fresh water at -2 degrees C.

To be made to support a greater population, more water would be helpful.  Then you don't have to export electricity to where the water is, instead you import water from the atmosphere.  And then people can follow.  These are also places where winter heating may tend to be a lower level of burden.

In making this attempt I have tried to turn Salt and Carbon into resources.  So, then if there is a buildup of salt somewhere like the Salton Sea, it can be taken to another location where an atmospheric condenser might be set up.  That then turns the accumulation of salt in the Salton Sea as an asset, and the salt level might be brought down to more desirable levels.

And so also, I am hoping for the mass production of Shade Balls, to incorporate Carbon into.

Another concern would be to try to reduce the shedding of microplastics.  I don't think it is a large concern, as microplastics more come from tires and clothing.  But looking into optimization is perhaps worthwhile.

My actual hope is that over time the hydrocarbon industry can be weaned away from burning materials as fuels, and towards making useful tools like Shade balls.

As I understand it, trees in a desert may cause the high sky to be cooler than otherwise, and so rain is more likely to happen.  However, if the desert is too harsh or animals degrade the forest too much, the trees may die off and so less rain will fall.

Solar panels, or solar mirrors>thermal device, or shade balls, are non-living, so if the desert is too harsh for trees, they can function anyway.

The question of energy from nuclear fission or fusion.  I am beginning to think that these will emerge, and that they may make more sense in places like Canada and Europe.  They might not be so competitive where solar is a good option.

However, when Fusion emerges, that will change things in the solar system where Titan and Mars will both become more attractive.

I guess I have wanted to mess with DUNE for a while.

But in an alternate universe, the freemen should have handled Dune differetly.

There is some hint of tiny ice caps.  If so, then water mined could be moved though the tunnels.
If no ice then depending on how cold an ice cap would be you might be able to condense water out of the air and then move it through the tunnels.  As the tunnels would be planet wide linking all rocky surfaces above the sand plains, no need so much for the sand walk.

Now add drones with thumpers, or heavy metal music.  Rather than to wait for the worms to come and harass/destroy your spice harvester, you harass the worms with such drones, leading them astray from the spice harvester.

So, there, I ruined Arakis, but I like my Arakis better.

It is not with enjoyment that I might suggest some brutal notions on this.

Indeed, if a Tariff is applied to a car from Canada, yes, the price of that car goes up, but soon, car production will go up in the USA, provided there is sufficient labor at a reasonable price.  Cold blooded logic says we can steal your plant and then even your trained labor.  It appears that we may get robot labor that may cost say $3.40 an hour and can do perhaps 70-80% of the tasks.

As for your minerals, you will still sell them to us, unless you have a better alternative.

A very nice value I think as problems detected earlier would reduce the amount of corrective medicine require later.  It also might catch something before it becomes untreatable.
