Ok ladies and gentlemen,
This forum has been very enlightening.

I myself believe that you have to treat each case differently because no two children are the same.
those children and adults, for that matter, that are suffering from so called add/adhd are really suffering from a nural visual supression. they dont need drugs what they is what is called a chromatic refraction which is a colored lense that filters out specific wavelengths of light and correct the problem they also signifantly reduce the amount sesures, and migranes and there a possible 40 million different perscriptions that are possible. And they take care a lot of nurological problems like dyslexia and such.
So please dont medicate the children because it will litterally ruin there lives.

ok i believe that its ok to give spankings, even with a wooden handle, but not to the point of beating. if you concider corprial punishment to be spanking then i am for it but if that includes beating the living daylights you of the little snot then no i dont agree.

#15 Re: Martian Politics and Economy » Living on mars. - Would you personally live on Mars? » 2004-04-30 12:34:28

I appoligise for the lack of choices. if you would like I can restart the poll, albeit in another pole question.

#17 Re: Human missions » The First to Mars - Who will it be? » 2004-04-30 12:30:45

I don't see Europe leading any mission to Mars.  They can hardly agree on monetary issues or even something as cheap as Beagle and Mars Express.  I don't see them being a vital part of any mission to Mars, because they would cripple it.  I see maybe a token member on the team and some monetary or equipment contributions.

I argree. The state of world affars being what it is does not lend itself any european first mars landing.

We are the world's police force?

Ok, but if we arent the world's police force then who will be?

#21 Re: Human missions » What the heck is taking so long? - Red Planet In Red Tape » 2004-04-30 11:35:09

Well one of the ways that we can become a better country is if we stick together because face it, we are the worlds police force. sad

As for the math of 2.1 babies per woman just to maintain a steady population- is a martian settlement even feasible if you have 50% of the population (the children) producing nothing?

Even in the pioneer days the children didnt do nothing they had to help out as much as possible. you could have the children work in the kitchens and they would be in school-
that is, presuming that there would even be schools.
