On Halloween Night, I was walking 7 miles between the two communities I am visiting.  it was anew moon, and I saw the second largest fireball I'd ever seen shoot across the sky.

It was bright like a lightning bolt, and lit up the entire sky.

I also saw 5 more shooting stars that night.  More than I would normally see in 2 hours.

I posted over a year or two ago here as Alt2War or AltToWar or somthing.

I used this particular space to vent a lot of my anti Gulf War WMD What-have-you steam.  I believe my Ideas were in the minority here and that I took some dark pleasure in being an underdog.

Anyhow, Hello.

>> What do you do for a living?

That is a complicated question.  wink  As a Communard I take on several resposabilities, both income generating and domestic.  So I 'Make a living' by gardening and cooking and cleaning and doing laundry and washing dishes, as well as using my skills in helping the income generating parts of the community.  I do sales and marketing and grapic design mostly.  There is also a lot of non-skilled labor involved in the business, and I do my best to do my part in that work as well.

Everyone makes the same and recieves the same benefits from the community no matter what their job is.  Domestic work like cleaning and cooking and watching children is just as valued as income generating work.

Take Care

Hello people of New Mars.  I've not been here in quite some time.  I've spent the last year or so living on Hippie Communes.  Currently I am in Virginia.

So Hello again from Alt, I hope you are all not too dissapointed to see me here smile

I wish I had more fire to bring, more fuel to mix things up.  Sadly I just dont have as much to give these days.  Perhaps there might be some way I can contribute.

If anyone would like to know about practical living under small scale communism, i have a lot of first hand experience.
