I still can't believe we now have combat aircraft that cost half as much as a Forrestal class super carrier, which were purchased for $200M, and that commercial shipyards turn out modern ships with double the total tonnage of a Forrestal class super carrier and considerably larger in physical size, for $750M. It seems like we should be able to produce a super carrier containing half as much steel for about $350M.

Maybe a lost plane crashing at night would be easier, local people at night hear a loud bang, then fires spotted and an IR signature on the ground. I’m very grateful that alert and fast-acting protectors from Gavin de Becker and Associates (GDBA) spotted and detained an armed man who attempted to approach me at my Hispanic Heritage speech at the Wilshire Ebell Theatre in Los Angeles tonight. The man, wearing two shoulder holsters with loaded pistols and spare ammunition magazines was carrying a U.S. Marshal badge on a lanyard and beltclip federal ID. He identified himself as a member of my security detail. Armed GDBA team members moved quickly to isolate and detain the man until LAPD arrived to make the arrest. I’m also grateful to LAPD for its rapid response.
