Watt-hour is a measure of energy. It is also used here in the Netherlands for your electricity bill (kWh = kiloWatthour = 1000 Watthour). I suspect also in Belgium.

Watt is a measure of power.

that's just a matter of lightening things up to make them look pretty for the cameras. But maybe it is another picture.

#68 Re: Unmanned probes » Air Bag Drag Marks - Can the dark areas really be drag marks? » 2004-01-13 11:29:22

they said in the press conference that indeed the bounces were in sleepy hollow

they showed the pyrotechnoc devise yesterday. it is basically a knife that cuts the cable

that's nice , if they decide to go there one can maybe see what's under the dust. Saves some digging.

#72 Re: Unmanned probes » Spirit & Opportunity 2 - Continued from original thread » 2004-01-13 04:21:46

OK...I'll repeat my question here then.

Did spirit bounce from sleepy hollow up till the place it is now? In the panorama there are what seems like bounce marks. And there are none in other directions. When Spirit just landed I was on holiday, so maybe they already said something about this.

or is that other area called sleepy hollow? confused now...

#73 Re: Unmanned probes » Spirit & Opportunity » 2004-01-12 13:33:46

it seems like spirit bounced from sleepy hollow to the place it is now. Is this the case?

#74 Re: Unmanned probes » Spirit & Opportunity » 2004-01-09 05:23:49

..and:

is there somewhere a schedule of activities? What are they going to do this Sol?

#75 Re: Unmanned probes » Spirit & Opportunity » 2004-01-09 05:06:23

they said before that they have taken some mini-TES data. When is that going to arrive? Or do the colour pictures have priority?
